Carlos Thomas Jr. believes he can put on a strong showing if admitted to the Arnold.

Thomas Jr. confirmed that the Detroit Pro will be at the top of his list but has also applied to compete in the Arnold Classic.
“The Arnold Classic will be a dream to do and compete in. I did throw my hat in the ring for it just to see what’s going on. We’re standing at December 6 so hopefully they make the announcement very soon. I want to know if we were able to get in.”
Thomas Jr. was victorious during the 2021 NPC National Championships, earning his Pro Card after winning the overall title. In May 2023, he announced that he would be unable to make his debut during the New York Pro. Instead, Thomas took the stage during the Texas Pro and finished third.

The Arnold Classic roster will be announced soon and Thomas Jr. is hoping to see his name on the list. He believes that he can compete with the best in the world and put on a show in Columbus. If not, Thomas Jr. believes his prep will still allow him to peak at the right time in Detroit.
“I did start my prep around just the time for the Arnold Classic, about 20 weeks out. If God willing we get into the Arnold then we’ll do some damage there.
If not, Detroit is right at the end of the month and we’ll fall right into that. It just gives me more time.”
