Derek Lunsford has transitioned into a new diet plan ahead of his appearance at the Arnold Classic.
Derek Lunsford is preparing for the 2025 Arnold Classic and is excited for the show in just three weeks. He has been retooling his diet and workout plans to match his goals at the current time in his prep. Recently, Lunsford hit a high-carb, high-fat day to continue on getting better into Columbus.

Lunsford’s journey to the apex of bodybuilding is both remarkable and inspiring. He first captured the Olympia 212 title, then transitioned to the Men’s Open category, clinching the title on his second attempt. Significantly, he became the first athlete to secure titles in two different divisions, marking a historic moment in the competition’s legacy.
Derek Lunsford’s Full Day Of Eating
Meal 1
The first meal of the day for Derek Lunsford is one that he likes to include for many reasons. It comes after his cardio session in the morning, which he performs year-round.
- 7oz Ground Bison
- 300g White Rice
“I can say I’m very happy about today’s high day. Cardio is not too crazy. I actually like cardio all the time, year-round even. Did cardio this morning and abs.”
Meal 2
Lunsford did not reach his overall goals during the Olympia and is determined heading into the Arnold Classic.
- 7oz Chicken
- 300g White Rice
- Ray’s Sweet & Spicy Sauce
“I am getting freaking psyched for this Arnold, man. I’m serious. I really can’t believe that we are like three weeks away. That is insane.”
Meal 3
On the way to the gym, Derek Lunsford added two cookies into his meal, which are around 400 calories each. He likes to eat them on the way to the gym after his meal.

- 2 Cookies
“This time, two cookies, but I like to eat them on the way. All I can say is today is going to be a crazy pump or so I hope. I mean, it should be with this food, right?”
Meal 4
The fourth meal of the day was a quick and easy one for Lunsford, which he threw in the microwave to warm up. He shared that he could eat it cold but prefers it warm if there is an option.

The final meal of the day comes after Derek Lunsford falls asleep after a busy day of sculpting his physique.

“I get home, eat my second to last meal, I get tired, I fall asleep on the couch. Wake up, eat my last meal and go back to bed.”
