Two of the best in Men’s Open hit the stage for guest posing at amateur shows following the Olympia.
The 2023 Olympia is in the books and competitors are beginning to focus on qualifying for next year’s competition. For some, this includes hitting the stage once again for guest posing. Both Derek Lunsford and Hunter Labrada appeared at amateur bodybuilding competitions to show off their physiques as guest posers.
Derek Lunsford was crowned the new Mr. Olympia just two weeks ago, becoming the 18th champion in bodybuilding history. He also became the first competitor to win an Olympia title in two separate divisions. Lunsford improved upon his runner-up finish from 2022 and jumped Hadi Choopan on the scorecard.
Lunsford recently shared his guest posing routine from the NPC Eastern USA Championships:
“I had a great time guest posing and meeting so many of you who came out to support the athletes.”

Hunter Labrada also took the stage as a guest poser. Labrada has been one of the top bodybuilders in Men’s Open and solidified this notion back in 2021. He finished fourth during the Olympia but has fallen a bit since then.
In 2022, Labrada fell to seventh on the scorecard. He was victorious during the 2023 Tampa Pro before finishing as the runner-up at the Texas Pro. Labrada hit the Olympia stage once again and finished sixth this year.
Labrada showed off his physique once again during the NPC Western Michigan Bodybuilding Championships. He looked well-conditioned on stage. This was one of the major improvements he made during the year to prepare for the 2023 Olympia. Labrada shared in his caption on social media that this would be his final guest posing appearance of the year and is looking forward the holiday season with his family.
“As a fan of bodybuilding, this was a really cool show to be a part of, as a lot of the guys in bodybuilding and classic BROUGHT IT! it was really fun to see the level of conditioning and presentation a lot of people brought! I for sure saw several future pros today????????”
