2008 Mr. Olympia champion Dexter Jackson to Be Inducted Into International Sports Hall of Fame Class
One of bodybuilding’s greatest champions is adding another prestigious honor to his legendary career. The International Sports Hall of Fame is inducting 2008 Mr. Olympia winner Dexter Jackson as part of its Class of 2026, during Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend in Las Vegas.
Jackson will be honored alongside UFC legend Forrest Griffin, chess icon Garry Kasparov, the Harlem Globetrotters, Eric Dickerson, and freediving champion Vitomir Maričić. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, at the Palms Hotel.
Dexter Jackson Adds Another Career Honor
Known throughout the bodybuilding world as “The Blade,” Jackson built one of the most decorated careers in IFBB Pro League history.
Jackson remains the all-time leader in professional bodybuilding victories with 29 career wins. He is one of the sport’s greatest examples of longevity. Jackson captured the 2008 Mr. Olympia title by defeating Jay Cutler. He then continued to compete at an elite level for more than a decade.
His consistency became legendary. Jackson qualified for and competed at the Mr. Olympia an unprecedented 20 consecutive times. As a result, he earned a reputation for razor-sharp conditioning, symmetry, and an ability to remain competitive against multiple generations of athletes.
Beyond his competitive achievements, Jackson has remained one of bodybuilding’s most respected ambassadors through guest appearances, seminars, and mentoring younger competitors.
Joining an Elite 2026 Class
Jackson’s induction class includes several iconic names from across the sports world:
- Forrest Griffin, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and UFC Hall of Famer. His championship run helped bring mixed martial arts into the mainstream.
- Garry Kasparov, widely considered one of the greatest chess players in history and a longtime world No. 1.

International Sports Hall of Fame Ceremony Set for Olympia Weekend
The International Sports Hall of Fame will celebrate its 15th anniversary induction ceremony on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. This is part of Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend festivities.
Founded in 2012 by Dr. Robert Goldman, the International Sports Hall of Fame recognizes athletes whose impact extends beyond competition through leadership, philanthropy, and service. Since its inception, the organization has inducted dozens of legendary athletes representing a wide variety of sports.
For bodybuilding fans, Jackson’s induction further cements his legacy as one of the most accomplished competitors the sport has ever seen. It adds another milestone to a career that already includes a Sandow Trophy, a record 29 professional victories, and one of the longest runs of excellence in bodybuilding history.
