Dorian Yates is working back toward training in the gym following surgery!

He has limited certain activities, such as biking and hiking, but does not regret anything from this.

Dorian Yates Shares Update Following Hip Surgery
This update came 11 weeks after surgery. Yates shared that he is happy with the progress and expects to be back in the gym in four weeks time.
“11 weeks after my surgery and progressing nicely here with my rehab. My movement and balance is improving each day and in 4 weeks I reckon, I’ll be back in the gym training and doing what I love.
It’s how I envisioned myself recovering and thankfully it’s all playing out smoothly. Not 100% there yet but improving each time.”
From 1992-1997, Yates did not lose a competition and racked up six-consecutive Olympia titles. Following his final victory on the biggest stage, Yates retired from bodybuilding after suffering different injuries. In retirement, Yates has maintained a shredded physique while sharing his wisdom in the gym. Yates has also created a successful social media platform, where he continues to share different tips to weightlifters today.
Following surgery, Yates shared that he does not have any regrets from his career.
“I don’t have any regrets and this op has a very high success rate so no worries at all. I’m looking forward to another 20 plus years of exercise with this new titanium hip!
I see it as battle scars from all that hard training, it could be said that maybe if I didn’t do all that training that I wouldn’t need surgery.”
Yates even asked doctors if he could keep a piece of his bone following the operation. He was given a piece in a jar and shared the photo following the operation. Yates shared that he will now take this chance to relax and catch up in other areas.
Dorian Yates is an athlete that does what it takes to win and succeed in any area. It was clear that he would work hard to return to the gym and doing what he loves as quickly as possible following surgery.
