Often, people want to get through the cutting phase as quickly as possible to start bulking up again and seeing those muscle gains.

The most crucial aspect of fat loss is diet and exercise, but fat burners can increase fat breakdown, boost metabolism, and curb food cravings. Some even help you maintain muscle mass, like our 2020 best fat burner award winner, Fighters Core.

However, we are here to review a new product on the market, Elm & Rye. It contains some of the ingredients we expect to see in most fat burners, such as caffeine and green tea and some great apoptogenic herbs.

However, the dosages are hidden behind a proprietary blend, making it near impossible to judge their effectiveness.

We also suspect fake reviews and this is concerning considering the high price tag of this product – $75 for a month’s supply!

About Elm & Rye Fat Burner

The good news is that Elm & Rye Fat Burner contains all-natural ingredients. But with the dosages hidden, it isn’t easy to know if you are getting enough of anything to experience any of the sound effects. That means you have to have trust in the manufacturer – Elm & Rye are new players in the world of supplements, so we don’t quite understand how they can justify $75 a bottle.

They claim that their Fat Burner is “the gold standard of quality gaining credibility from some of the largest scientific journals in the world.” Again, we are not sure how they can make this claim. Perhaps they refer to the scientific evidence behind the ingredients they include, but again without the dosages, this means very little.

Ingredients

Elm & Rye Fat Burner

We assess products by the quality of the ingredients. There are no dosages for any ingredients listed, so we will talk about what they do in a general sense. However, be wary that none of these benefits can be experienced if the dosage is inadequate.

B Vitamins

B-vitamins are great for brain health, energy and focus. They help your body convert food into energy, preventing it from being stored as fat. This is excellent news if you don’t get enough B-vitamins from your food already.

Caffeine Anhydrous

Caffeine is well known to give you more focus and boost your metabolic rate. (1) However, too much is not beneficial to weight loss as it can increase stress and sleeplessness. If you have to be mindful about how much caffeine you consume, this could pose a problem for you. Or maybe not. How can we know without a dosage!

L-Theanine

L-Theanine stimulates alpha brain waves and provides relaxed focus. (2) It works in synergy with caffeine to provide smoother energy without the crash (provided the dosages line up).

Green Coffee Extract

Green coffee slows the absorption of carbohydrates and stabilizes blood sugar; this, in turn, reduces cravings for food. Human studies, however, are limited.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea is a well-studied and proven fat burner and antioxidant. It can increase fat oxidization by as much as 17%! (3) For this reason, you will see it in most of the best fat burners. However, you only receive these benefits with proper dosage.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha reduces inflammation and stress. Both of which are beneficial to weight loss.

Rhodiola Extract

Rhodiola is an apoptogenic herb that reduces fatigue and stress, both of which can cause your body to hold onto fat. (4)

Coleus Forskolin

Forskolin promotes fat loss by moving stored fat from cells. (5)

Anything Missing?

While we like many of the ingredients listed in this product, without the dosages, who knows if they will have the desired effects.

There are no muscle-maintaining ingredients and little in the way of metabolism boosters such as cayenne pepper. It also lacks any components to aid absorption of nutrients such as black pepper. You should find these ingredients in the best fat burners.

How to Use Elm & Rye Fat Burner

One bottle of Elm & Rye contains 30 capsules, and they suggest you take one per day.

However, most fat burners break the dosage up throughout the day. With a long list of ingredients, we wonder how much of each thing they can fit into just one capsule.

Furthermore, one dose means that any effects are short-lived. By breaking up the dose throughout the day, you ensure that your body has high levels of fat-burning ingredients over a prolonged period.

Customer Reviews

Elm & Rye Fat burner is a new product, and any reviews we could find are difficult to trust.

Discover Magazine named it the #1 fat burner. However, Discover had completely different products up to this point. They replaced their list with three new fat burners and only one with links to the manufacturer – Elm & Rye. We are unsure why they decided to feature a new company, especially considering the lack of transparency in their product.

They have all 5- star reviews on their website. But they are likely fake. Firstly, no fat burner work miracles, and it is rare for genuine reviews to all be five stars. But even more questionable, their reviews date back to January 2020, while the company and website were only founded on December 25, 2020.

Side Effects of Elm & Rye Fat Burner

With unknown dosages, it is impossible to say whether side effects are likely or not. One place this could be an issue is caffeine; too much can lead to a range of side effects.

Speak to your doctor before trying any new supplement, especially if you have any pre-existing conditions.

Price and Value for Money?

This product is available on the Elm & Rye website only. They deliver to the UK, USA and Canada.

A hefty price tag of $75 for a bottle of 30 pills (one month’s supply). Without dosages, it is impossible to say whether this is good value for money. However, considering cheaper and well-known products on the market, we think you can do better.

The Good

  • Apoptogenic herbs for stress reduction.
  • Some excellent ingredient choices, such as green tea.
  • Caffeine and Theanine work in synergy for smooth energy.

The Bad

  • Fake reviews.
  • No ingredient dosages provided.
  • No supplement facts.
  • New company with no previous track record.
  • $75 is a high price.

Conclusion to Elm & Rye Fat Burner Review

There are some great ingredients in Elm & Rye fat burner. However, we cannot say for sure whether they are effective without dosages.

We have good reason to believe that the reviews are fake, which is concerning considering the high price tag.
