This full bodyweight workout is sure to fire up all of your muscles to give you that desired physique.

We all want to work out. We know we should, but constantly find ourselves making excuses. Our busy schedules of work, personal time, family time, and relationships can leave us feeling drained when it comes to finally pulling ourselves together to work out.

Even with gyms operating at limited capacity, or your own fear of going to the gym given this difficult time we are in, there are ways to boost your strength, endurance, and overall physique to leave you feeling happy and healthy. This full outdoor bodyweight circuit workout by Margarita Ventura is one to really fire up all of your muscles so you see huge growth when it comes to your fitness goals.

This full body outdoor workout circuit is pulled form Margarita Ventura’s brand new website launch and her training program offerings. We suggest you give this workout below a try – and if you like it – head on over to her official website for a wide variety of effective workouts to transform your strength and physique.

Bodyweight workouts, or calisthenics, are seen as inferior when compared to going to a gym and lifting big weights, but the benefits of a good bodyweight workout can not only add convenience to your schedule, but also work your muscles differently to really offer diversity when it comes to muscle confusion and overall growth.

So even if you aren’t lifting heavy loads and putting up big numbers, bodyweight workouts can still work as a fantastic tool for strength, power, explosiveness, and overall functional movement. The ability to be versatile is just an added bonus worth noting.

Margarita Ventura’s Story

Margarita Ventura found herself torn, struggling to balance her work and personal life, leaving her to see the negative toll this took on her lifestyle. Taking charge, she decided to make a much needed change and now takes these lessons as a way to better herself, but also the people around her. Her amateur debut came in 2015 where she won the Masters Bikini Division and finished in the top two of the Open Bikini Division. This gave her a pro card and the chance to prove herself at the highest level of the sport. While working a full time job, she finished in the top 5 at the WBFF Worlds Bahamas and proved that anything was possible if you put your mind to it.

The Workout

Cardio/Dynamic Warmup

This cardio/dynamic warmup will be done with a running clock. This will surely get your heart rate going with a slight touch of HIIT training to really prime those muscles. High-intensity interval training is a form of cardio where fast paced intervals are alternated with recovery style intervals. The benefit to HIIT training is the intervals can change depending on your ability and what Margarita does with this warmup is keep you moving so you get warm and stay that way.

Really take advantage of the rest time (even if only 10 seconds) and work to control your breathing. This will not only keep you going longer, but it will keep your heart rate in check so you feel much better doing it.

  • 1 minute – Walking Lunges (alt standing lunges)
  • 2 min – Sprint (alt run in place or high knees)
  • 30 second – Rest
  • 2 min – Sprint
  • 30 second – Rest
  • 1 min – Sprint

Bodyweight Circuit

For the meat of this workout, this will also be down with a running clock. Repeat this exercise three times through, giving yourself ample rest to recharge, but not too much rest so you go stiff. The benefits of bodyweight workouts revolve around them being super effective for growth, calorie burn, and endurance, but also added elements like improved coordination and balance, as well as the cognitive and mental health benefits attached. You don’t need crazy equipment to stay fit. All it takes is a solid determination and a brilliant workout routine. That is exactly what Margarita has put together below.

  • 1 minute – Squat Jumps
  • 1 minute – Broad Jumps
  • 1 minute – Burpees
  • 1 minute – Speed Skaters
  • 1 minute – Shoulder Touch High Planks
  • 1 minute – Tuck Jump into Burpee
  • 1 minute – Runners Situps
  • 1 minute – Alternating Leg V-Ups
