Nick Walker Says Derek Lunsford “Has a Sh*t Storm Coming” After Comments Ahead of 2025 Olympia

The feud between Nick Walker and Derek Lunsford will come to a head at the biggest show of the year.

The rivalry between Derek Lunsford and Nick Walker is one that will not go away before the 2025 Olympia. Both competitors have made comments about the other and Walker seems to be using it as motivation ahead of the biggest show of the year.

It started during the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro when Lunsford defeated Walker in the first Open competition at the show. Despite winning the show, the former Olympia champion believed he turned in a lackluster effort. He said this gives him an edge during the Olympia but Walker was not buying it. It has only fueled his fire.

“I lost Pittsburgh. Yeah, I won New York I’m thrilled, it’s fantastic but I wanted to win Pitts. The fact that I firmly believe I still won Pitts and didn’t, I’m hungry. And the fact that I haven’t been in the Olympia in two years, I’m f*cking hungry.”

Walker missed the 2023 Olympia as he dealt with a torn hamstring that impacted his preparation for the show. He ended up making his return during the New York Pro and was crowned champion. He later announced that he would miss the 2024 Olympia as well but will make his return this year.

Lunsford has stated that he believes Walker and reigning champion Samson Dauda will be battling for third place, which is where he finished last year.

“Just a reminder when he said me and Samson are fighting for third, homie got third,” Walker said.

Nick Walker Confident Heading into 2025 Olympia

Nick Walker brings his own confidence to the stage but is also fueled by others. He has heard what Lunsford has said and believes that it was disrespectful.

“Derek’s got a sh*t storm coming. If I’m going to be honest, I think that it was disrespectful as f*ck.”

Walker believes that this is less about him and more about how Derek Lunsford feels heading into the show.

“When he talks like that and because of how he said it too, it just shows lack of confidence. I think he’s nervous, as he should be…If it’s a game, it’s the worst game ever. I don’t think he means any ill intention, I really don’t, but the way he comes of and the way he says it, it’s like ‘what are you talking about?’”

The battle between Derek Lunsford and Nick Walker is now one to watch come the end of the year. Walker has been putting in all work to get healthy and bring his best physique to the stage in order to compete for the title.
