Nick Walker will be fully coaching himself for the first time in years.
Men’s Open bodybuilder Nick Walker finished sixth during the 2025 Olympia. He came in with plenty of confidence and was considered one of the favorites to win the title. After a finish such as this, it caused Walker to speculate on his overall process and performances this year. During a recent video, Walker shared details of his training moving forward along with his all-time favorite looks.
After withdrawing from the 2024 Olympia, Walker made the decision to work with Kyle Wilkes as his new coach. After yet another Olympia has passed, Walker shared that he will be coaching himself moving forward. Wilkes shared his own video previously sharing this news but Walker wanted to touch on it as well.
“The cat is out of the bag a little bit, so whatever but diet-wise, I’m obviously doing my own thing right now, which I’m actually enjoying and having fun. It’s a lot of, it’s a nice weight lifted off the shoulders.”
Walker was forced to miss the 2023 Olympia after suffering a hamstring tear. He returned to the stage during the 2024 New York Pro and was victorious, punching his ticket to the biggest show of the year once again. Walker received criticism following his victory and would later announce that he decided to sit out of the Olympia once again.
After a difficult road, Walker returned to the Olympia stage but was not satisfied with his performance. From there, he discussed his all-time favorite looks.

Nick Walker Talks Favorite Looks On Stage
Walker burst onto the scene with one of the best rookie years in the sport. It began with a victory at the New York Pro in 2021 before hitting the Arnold Classic stage. The look he brought to the stage was one of his favorites ever.
“I truly believe my favorite look, which I think are my best looks, were the 2021 Arnold Classic. I just thought for me, that was my number one. I was dry, hard, very grainy, and full. As soon as I walked out for that show, it was lights out. Game over.”
Nick Walker continued to talk about his favorite looks and it continued with the 2022 Olympia, where he finished fourth.
“I would say my second favorite was probably the Olympia in 2022. I don’t think I was as conditioned per se, as the 2021 Arnold, but I was very lean. Lean enough, but I was so f*cking full. It was an undeniable type of full but still very dry.”
The 2025 Pittsburgh Pro brought the first-ever Men’s Open competition to the event. Nick Walker was one of the headliners, along with Mr. Olympia Derek Lunsford. Walker finished as the runner-up but believed he did enough to win the show. Despite this feeling, he actually was not completely satisfied with his look.
“I didn’t like it because I didn’t think it was my best. I know what I’m capable of, I know what I can bring. That look was good, don’t get me wrong, but I could have been leader, I cold have been drier, I could have been harder.
The end results should always be the same to a degree, with improvements. To me, that’s not what it was. That’s not what I like to bring to the stage.”
