Ronnie Coleman broke down his first steroid cycle early in his career.

Ronnie Coleman built one of the greatest physiques of all-time. He had great motivation in the gym from a young age and once he entered bodybuilding, the sky was the limit. After competing naturally for a few years, Coleman began dabbling in PEDs and recently talked about his first experiences.

During his career, Coleman totaled eight Olympia wins, which is tied for the most all-time with Lee Haney. He built a physique that was insanely muscular with great conditioning. The Men’s Open legend battled some other greats onstage, highlighted by his rivalry with Jay Cutler. Since retiring, Coleman has created a successful social media platform because of his combination of entertainment and interaction with fans.

This time, he joined Beer Biceps YouTube page for an interview to discuss many aspects of bodybuilding, including his first steroid cycle.

“It was probably 1995-96, somewhere in there. I was 30 years old. The first time ever because I was so afraid to do all that stuff back then.”

Ronnie Coleman Talks First Steroid Cycle

Ronnie Coleman has plenty of experience and knowledge about steroids from his time as a professional bodybuilder. He began by talking about his first experience when he was about 30 years old.

“I got a lot of information from Flex Wheeler. He have me a lot of information. Flex had been around, he won a lot of stuff.

It’s been so long ago. It was just normal. I just know it was like normal dosages. People think I took, you know, massive massive amounts. I’m like no, no. If I would have taken massive massive amounts, I don’t think I’d be sitting here.”

Once Coleman began taking steroids, he made sure to put his health first and this meant frequently going to the docks to get checked out.

“You need to have your body checked out at least every six months. Don’t go six months without checking it. I’ve never went six months without checking it, even now.

Everything that I put in my body, you know, was doctor-prescribed and every four months, I would get a checkup and make sure the liver was right, the kidneys were right, the heart was right. I had everything checked. I never had a problem.”

Ronnie Coleman continues to share his knowledge with the next generation and this includes with PEDs.
