Samson Dauda feels good enough at this point to put on more weight and see how it looks.
Samson Dauda has been at the top of the bodybuilding world for multiple years now. The former Mr. Olympia champion fell down the scorecard this year and has been working on a plan to improve heading into 2026. This includes adding more size to his frame. Dauda, who is already one of the biggest competitors in the world, believes he can get to 350 pounds this offseason.

“I think 160 kilos. Mostly, I’m believing in that number. Feeling how comfortable I am now at 152, I’m like yeah I can definitely climb up the ladder.”
Dauda has proven that he is a true force in Men’s Open and this has been the case since his debut. In 2022, he finished in the Top 10 at his first Olympia competition and shot up the scorecard in 2023 — when he was top three. After his victory last year, it was a surprising drop to No. 4 but Dauda is prepared to move forward and improve.
Dauda has spoken in the past about being over 300 pounds. He claims that he does not want to fall under this number because it “doesn’t look good” on him. Right now, he shared that he is around 160 kilos and feels good, which makes him believe he can go even higher.

Samson Dauda Shares Plans to Get to 350 Pounds

Samson Dauda will once again be a threat during the 2026 season and plans to do so in a different way. At this point of the offseason, Dauda is enjoying his time and wants to take on a different challenge.
“Literally every offseason, I’ve kept a cap on how much I want my weight to climb. This is the first time where I’m like ‘f*ck it, let’s go for broke.’ Let’s see what it can do. I’m curious to see what happens.”
From prejudging at the 2025 Olympia, Samson Dauda was among a top four that included Derek Lunsford, Hadi Choopan, and Andrew Jacked. This ended up being the top four in Men’s Open with Lunsford being crowned champion for the second time. Choopan finished as the runner-up once again while Jacked made a jump into the top three.
“This is always the fun part of the offseason. In offseason, I want to see like how much can I put on this body, how much can it take, and what it’s going to look like. I wouldn’t be able to do this for like two, three offseasons.
Dauda’s rise through the IFBB Pro League was steady. After turning pro in 2018, Dauda gained momentum with standout performances at shows like the British Grand Prix and the Arnold Classic UK. But his true breakout moment came at the 2023 Arnold Classic, where he battled against Nick Walker and Andrew Jacked to earn the runner-up spot. The bodybuilding world took notice. His combination of mass, shape, and stage presence became impossible to ignore.
