Samson Dauda hears criticisms and responded to it recently.
The 2024 bodybuilding men’s open champion Samson Dauda has been showing off his progress in recent physique updates ahead of his performance in Columbus, Ohio for the 2025 Arnold Classic. The reigning Olympia champion has built a championship physique under the guidance of his wife and coach, Marlena.
Despite the great success the two have had together, Dauda has heard criticisms and recently spoke on the negativity surrounding this arrangement.

Dauda joined Beyond The Stage to discuss comments made about this.
“This person has been there the whole time and been completely and utterly selfless in every way, get completely demolished by people that didn’t care or didn’t know.”
Samson Dauda Reacts To Negative Comments
Samson Dauda is preparing for the Arnold, where he is looking to win his second title at the event. He was able to make the major jump ahead of both Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan to win the 2024 Olympia title.
Any negativity brought on about his coach, and wife, upset Dauda.
“You have to sit there and grit your teeth and take it. It really pissed me off. I sat there and I heard so many foul things being said and I thought, I wanted to lash out.”
Dauda continued to explain how when he wanted to respond, Marlena would hold him back and explain what was best.
“You know, I’m not putting up with this. She told me, don’t just leave it. You have to sit there and listen to people that know nothing just talk so badly about someone you love. Not just you love, but just selfless in every way.”
Dauda is preparing to compete at the Arnold Classic and despite winning the ultimate prize in October, is not satisfied. He recently talked about the upcoming look during the show, which he plans to have better than his win at the Olympia.
“That is something that’s exciting to see, you know come that stage time. Obviously, working with, she’s figured this out so well and how to get me prepared for a show. She don’t miss. Don’t worry about that, she ain’t gonna miss.”
In the end, Samson Dauda knows what it takes to win on stage and works well with his current arrangement in the gym. He has responded to any negativity and plans to bring his best package to the stage in March to discredit any comments made.
