Sergio Oliva Jr. will no longer be working with Dorian Yates moving forward.
Sergio Oliva Jr. has not competed in 2024 and it looks as though he will not be moving forward. The bodybuilder shared a recent update, discussing issues with his visa. He also touched on not being able to work with Dorian Yates anymore because of recent developments.
Oliva Jr. last competed during the 2023 California State Pro, where he finished third in Men’s Open. This was an extremely impressive performance given the fact that Oliva Jr. had not been on stage in two years. Prior to California, Oliva Jr. last competed at the Legion Sports Fest Pro in 2021.
Oliva Jr. was not issued a visa and was forced to leave Spain, which will force him to change his plan moving forward.
“Sad news Europe won’t give me a visa and I unfortunately have to leave Spain.
I was told I could get a visa for next year so I plan to go back and finish what we started. Not sure what show I’ll be doing yet. But for now I’ll take what I’ve learned back to the USA and keep grinding some Heavy Duty!”

“It really sucks I wanted to finish this prep with DY but I talked to a lawyer and since I’ve already over stayed I could be banned up to 4 years. It sucks I got injured and couldn’t train with DY till the very end but I’m so thankful for all the things I’ve learned from him in the gym.
