Victor Martinez weighed in on the topic of legal steroids and testosterone boosters!

Steroids in bodybuilding has become a major topic of conversation in recent years. Of course, there are many alternative supplements as well. Bodybuilding veteran Victor Martinez recently weighed in on the discussion involving “legal steroids” and testosterone boosters during a recent episode of the Generation Iron Podcast.

Martinez competed in NPC tournaments from 1997 through 2001 and earned his IFBB Pro card at the 2000 NPC Nationals. His bodybuilding career was put on hold in 2009 when his sister, Eridania Rodríguez, was murdered by a handyman working in her building. However, Martínez persevered through his personal struggles and returned to the sport in 2010.

Martinez is a former Arnold Classic champion and Olympia runner-up who continues to share his passion of fitness. Along with training others and keeping up with his own physique, Martinez shares his overall wisdom on social media.

Victor Martinez: “Try It And Definitely Get To The Gym”

During the show, Victor Martinez answered some questions about certain supplements and if they are worth taking. He highlighted testosterone boosters and if they are truly work.

“I think they do because I use them as a protocol for a lot of my clients, whether they are on it or off it or whether you’re natural or not. So, basically the way I use it is, if you’re natural, it’s gonna benefit you because it’s a testosterone booster. Especially if you’re going to the gym more often than none. It’s gonna help you with energy, with strength, and obviously building muscle.”

In terms of use, Martinez believes that it is best used in a cycle like other steroids.

“Definitely cycle it. You don’t want your body to become accustomed to it and you will get better with your performance, your strength, and muscle building. And add other things to it. Your glutamines, amino acids, and you’ll definitely create a good stack with it. So yes, use it.”

The overall effect of testosterone boosters will not be that of steroids but Victor Martinez explains that there will still be an increase in results.

“The effects now cannot compare with steroids and over-the-counter. I would have to say you will get at least a 30-40% increase, which is better than nothing. Again, it’s still good if you’re not gonna use anything. People will say ‘oh, you’re gonna use test boosters. You’re not natty. I would say start with eight weeks, take some time off then go with 10 weeks and take some time off. Then you can go with 12 weeks.”

Like any substance, testosterone only works if there are the right methods with it. This means cleaning up your diet and training on a consistent basis.

Of course, there are certain supplements that will work better for some than others. In the end, Martinez believes that athletes should try it and make sure to keep up with their workouts.

“It only works as much as you are consistent with your diet and your training day in, day out. And you don’t miss supplementation. A lot of supplement stores will tell you to not get off it but you’re only doing yourself a disservice. So try it two months ahead and there’s always other supplements to keep that balance and keep your test levels high. So try it and definitely get to the gym.”
