Wesley Vissers will take time to recalibrate his physique for the future.
Classic Physique bodybuilder Wesley Vissers has taken his lumps on stage during his recent appearances and is focused on improving his physique for the future. During a recent video, Vissers shared his plans to compete at the 2025 Detroit Pro before taking a break from competition.
Vissers pulled off an upset, defeating Ramon Dino at the 2024 Arnold Classic, which was considered a major upset at the time, but fell down the scorecard at the Olympia. Vissers returned to Columbus to defend his Arnold title but ended up placing fifth.

Vissers earned his Pro Card in 2017 and won Mr. Golden Era that same year. Aside from that, he also has been on the Mr. Olympia stage on several different occasions, and being on that stage is one of the highest honors in the sport of bodybuilding. Standing tall at 6’2” and weighing from 216 lbs to 234 lbs, the physique that Vissers has crafted has earned him a lot of respect and popularity in the bodybuilding world.
Wesley Vissers To Skip 2025 Olympia
Wesley Vissers shared a video on Sunday along with his coach to share his plans moving forward.
“We said that we were going to take a much longer break this time to really work on what we need to work on. The balance of the body.
“I think I would regret not first trying to see if we can resurrect that shape for Detroit before saying we’re not going to do it for sure. The Olympia this year won’t happen.”
Vissers continued to explain that if he qualified for the Olympia in Detroit, he would still choose to skip the show. He took time to reflect on his performances during the Olympia in 2024 and then in Columbus.
“The Olympia went not as we wanted. This Arnold did not go as we wanted. So that, of course, is a clear sign that we need to change something. At the same time, me and Marley have talked about this. I’ve now had two nights where I thought a lot about, I was very excited about taking the break.”
