Will Tennyson attacked the diet plan of Ronnie Coleman with 600 grams of protein.

Fitness star Will Tennyson has taken on many workout challenges and has gotten out of his comfort zone in the industry. Now, he decided to take on the diet of legendary bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman, the 8x Mr. Olympia champion.

Tennyson has hit workouts with the likes of reigning World’s Strongest Man Mitchell Hooper. He has also taken on different routines of stars, such as Dwayne Johnson. In July, he went in a different direction and attempted to workout like a performer from Cirque du Soleil.

Ronnie Coleman has won the most Olympia titles of all-time with eight, tied with Lee Haney. He became known for his impressive physique and insane work ethic in the gym. To fuel the beast, he would take down a bulking diet of 6,000 calories and 600 grams of protein.

Ronnie Coleman’s Diet

Now, let’s take a look at the diet that Ronnie Coleman followed, and Will Tennyson tried out.

Meal 1

The first meal of the day was breakfast where Coleman would consume 70.3 grams of protein. The meal was heavy and it provided energy for the day.

  • 2 cus egg whites with cheese powder
  • 1 cup grits with two slices cheese
  • Coffee

“This is probably as heavy as some people’s deadlifts.”

Meal 2

The second meal of the day consisted of 172 grams of protein. Will Tennyson began struggling at this point but powered through the insane amount of protein and calories.

  • 20 ounces chicken breast
  • Cornbread
  • 1.5 cups beans
  • 1.5 cups brown rice

“Only halfway into meal two and my digestive system is already at war as I’ve already surpassed my daily protein intake on a normal day.”

Meal 3

Tennyson hit a chest day after the second meal and this was his first meal post-workout.

  • 16 ounces chicken breast
  • Medium baked potato

“I am suffering. The amount of chicken this guy goes through, I feel like if he was still competing, Chick-fil-A would be forced to stay open on Sundays.”

Meal 4

Meal four has 109 grams of protein and has plenty of substance. This is his final meal of the day that consists of food and Coleman made sure to pack in as much as possible.

  • Filet mignon
  • 5 ounces chicken breast
  • Large McDonald’s French fry
  • Baked potato
  • Pink lemonade

Meal 5

Will Tennyson ends the video with four scoops of Whey Protein Powder.

  • 4 scoops Whey Protein Powder

“That was a day in the life of Ronnie Coleman. Bulking, training to win eight Mr. Olympia’s. The guy is a legend for a reason. Doing this every single day without complaining. Putting in the work even when he had a full-time job…Hats off to the guy. He’s just a champion.”
