Bodybuilding Greats Share Top 5 Predictions For 2023 Olympia

The 2023 Olympia is right around the corner and predictions are beginning to fly in.

The 2023 Olympia will take place in one week and many are beginning to make predictions on how the event will play out. During a recent stream on OlympiaTV, elite bodybuilding voices such as Flex Wheeler, Chris Cormier, and Bob Cicherillo made predictions for the Men’s Open division.

The biggest division in bodybuilding put on quite a show last year and there is a chance that it is even better this time around.

Another battle between Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford could be coming once again in just three weeks, even though they are training under the same guidance, only one person can be the champion. Nick Walker and Samson Dauda are also expected to be in the mix competing for a championships. And of course, former champ Brandon Curry.

2023 Olympia Bodybuilding Predictions

Many bodybuilding greats joined Terrick El Guindy to discuss the upcoming competition and make some predictions.

Flex Wheeler

Flex Wheeler has worked with Andrew Jacked in the past and believes that he can finish in the top five. Near the top, he picked Samson Dauda to win the title with reigning champion Hadi Choopan falling to fifth.

“The verdict is still out for third. I don’t see the current Mr. Olympia gets enough to be in third place. I think some of the bigger guys are gonna show better condition. I just haven’t seen enough input. I’m pretty locked in on the top two but the verdict is still out for third place.”

Chris Cormier

Chris Cormier also believes that the reigning champion takes a step back. Derek Lunsford finished second to Choopan last year and Cormier believes that he will be crowned the new champion.

“I’m just going off what I’ve seen. It’s just off the top of my head but there will be a new champion in there.”

Bob Cicherillo

Bob Cicherillo also sees Derek Lunsford winning the Olympia title and making history as the only competitor to win in two divisions. He has been a fan of Samson Dauda and believes that it will be a close battle.

“You can see that Samson has every attribute to be Mr. Olympia. The only problem he’s got is that Derek is in front of him.”

“I don’t see Hadi repeating. I think he’s going to have his hands full. I think both of these guys are proportionally better than Hadi…I’ve seen an improved Hunter Labrada and he can get himself back up there.”
