It is now 2025 and Breon Ansley has made his move to 212 official!
The move is now official. After months of speculation, Breon Ansley announced that he will be moving for Men’s 212 beginning here in 2025.
“This year in 2025, I will be taking my talents to the 212 division. It is time for a new challenge. It is time to put on more muscle and to see my true potential in developing muscle from all the hard work.”

Ansley put together an extremely successful career in Classic Physique. He began his amateur career in 2012 and earned his Pro Card the very next year by winning the NPC USA Championships. He quickly rose to the top of Classic Physique, winning his first Olympia at the 2017 Olympia. Ansley continued to improve as he won both the 2018 Arnold Classic and the 2018 Olympia.
Breon Ansley Discusses Move To Men’s 212
The decision to make the move to 212 was well thought out for Breon Ansley and it included thoughts about the weight cap. He feels like this had been holding him back to bringing the best possible to the stage.
“When I had to come down to weight caps in the Classic division from 175 to 180 to 187. I was always losing muscle and when you lose muscle, you are not going to see your best look. You can look great but not your absolute best.”
The Men’s 212 division has been taken over by Keone Pearson in recent years. He has defeated Shaun Clarida in each of the last two years to win back-to-back Olympia titles. It is a strong division at the top and Ansley hopes to build a physique that will contend for titles on the biggest stages.
Breon Ansley ended his video by explaining that he wants to do a show before the Olympia and will announce at a later date.
“I have another announcement on what show that I’m going to do this year and I do plan on doing a show before an Olympia, not just trying to get an automatic invite. I do plan to do a show before the Olympia and earn my way and become a champion.”
