Bruna Luccas is a fitness model and popular internet personality. She was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, but never stayed in one place, moving from town to town in search of better opportunities.

Burning Desire for Modeling

In 2015, Bruna Luccas had the mindset to make it in the fitness industry, which wasn’t an easy feat to achieve. She moved from Brazil to San Diego, California, USA, in search of opportunities, and ended up working at restaurants like McDonald’s, as a cashier at Wahoo’s Fish Tacos, and at On The Border, to make ends meet.

“Always walking forward, but never forgetting who you are and where you came from – McDonald’s kitchen from March 1, 2016, to May 2, 2017. I am quite grateful for the opportunity. When I first came to this country, they gave me the opportunity to join their family. This part of my life is over.” —Bruna Luccas

A few years later, things turned around for her when she posted a photo on her Instagram page of her grilling with her incredible physique. This photo went viral, attracting millions of people and boosting her number of followers. She received positive reviews of her stunning physique, which led to her modeling opportunity.

Modeling Career & Starting Her Business

Bruna Luccas got multiple comments about her physique when she posts photos. People wondered how someone with such a stunning physique could work in a fast food restaurant like McDonald’s. Not long after, she had opportunities to model and serve as an ambassador for various brands.

As she worked with different brands and built her modeling platform, her social media presence increased exponentially. Currently, she has over 6 million followers on her Instagram account. Luccas has worked with brands like Bang Energy, Fashion Nova, and Precioso Yachts.

After these opportunities, Bruna Luccas stopped working odd jobs, focused on her modeling, and started her own company in 2019 with her sister. It sells bikinis and waist trainers. Bruna Luccas also uses her page to share interesting workout tips, training, and her nutrition practices.

“I am still working hard every day, but I thank God because things in your life will always get better. Follow your dreams, your goals, walking with God, things will always work out. Remember beauty, your only enemy is yourself. In this life, we learn every day something new, and that’s essential to get there, to achieve your goals.” — Bruna Luccas

Bruna Luccas’ Training

Bruna Luccas sometimes varies her training approach due to her busy schedule. However, regardless of the circumstances, she makes time to train every day, either in the morning or at night.

Her resistance training routine involves high volume and heavy weights. This study demonstrates that performing high-load volumes can lead to significant improvements in strength and muscle hypertrophy (1). She performs three to five sets of exercises, each consisting of eight to 15 reps. Luccas mainly divides her exercise routines into upper-body and lower-body exercises. However, she tends to focus more on her lower body routines.

Bruna Luccas’ Nutrition

Bruna Luccas is an advocate for a balanced diet that includes essential nutrients, such as lean protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats. She focuses on having her complex carbs around her workout time to help fuel her energy.

Although Luccas enjoys eating out, she likes to get nutrients like protein from whole foods to minimize her protein shake intake. Also, while a fan of pizza, tacos, burgers, chips, fries, and salsa, Bruna Luccas mostly restricts her diet to rice and red meats.

Here’s a sample healthy meal she enjoys:
