Carlos Thomas Jr. will face off against some of the best in the world at the 2025 Arnold Classic.
Carlos Thomas Jr. continues to be a highly-anticipated, young bodybuilder and will get the chance to compete against the best in just three months. Thomas Jr. was accepted to compete at the 2025 Arnold Classic with the likes of Samson Dauda and Derek Lunsford. He recently spoke on stepping on stage against former Olympia champs.
“Do I believe that I can definitely contend on a lot of shots? Yeah, definitely I can. But I’m still climbing that mountain, man. I don’t think I’ll believe I’m there yet until I’m knocking these guys off.”
Thomas Jr. was victorious during the 2021 NPC National Championships, earning his Pro Card after winning the overall title. In May 2023, he announced that he would be unable to make his debut during the New York Pro. Instead, Thomas took the stage during the Texas Pro and finished third.
Thomas Jr. recently shared that he will appear at the Detroit Pro in 2025 but first, he will take the stage in Columbus against some of the best in the world.
Carlos Thomas Jr. Talks Matchups At Arnold Classic
Thomas Jr. applied to compete in Columbus because he wanted to test himself against the other elite competitors around the world.
“When the time comes, it’s all about how you present on stage and it being the Arnold. I have a bit of hype but I’m not highly touted like the Samsons, the Dereks, the Brandons, the Williams. But I want to come in and make a name for let these guys know ‘hey, this guy can be a top guy.”

Thomas Jr. has started his prep for the Arnold Classic, taking on a new method. He has started this prep earlier than usually do avoid extra stress that could leafe to flare-ups of his ulcerative colitis.
“It’s been a different approach. It’s been a longer prep starting out a little bit early, 20 weeks out from Arnold and then 24 weeks out from Detroit. Just bringing it in nice and easy because I do have my ulcerative colitis issues that I deal with.”
Ultimately, the goal for Thomas Jr. is to be a contender moving forward. This competition will allow himself to compare against the best in the world and know where he needs to step up.
“I’ve got work to do. Going against these guys like Samson now and Derek and William and Brandon and Andrew, guys I definitely respect. I’m like ‘okay, I got mad work to do.”
