Dorian Yates discussed the first-ever Men’s Open show during the Pittsburgh Pro.
Bodybuilder Nick Walker brought an incredible physique to the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro and this led to a second-place finish. Many believe that Walker did enough to win the show and that includes bodybuilding legend Dorian Yates.
Walker was part of a loaded lineup in Pittsburgh over the weekend and did not disappoint with his performance. He finished as the runner-up to Derek Lunsford and it did not come without controversy.
“From the video, I would say that Nick Walker would have won, in my opinion. He was in better condition and everything.”

Nick Walker brought it all to Pittsburgh and hopes it will carry into the New York Pro as well. He recently announced that he will enter the NY Pro this weekend. With a short turnaround, he believes fighting for his Olympia qualification is worth it this weekend.
Dorian Yate Discusses Nick Walker’s Performance
Dorian Yates watched the video from the Pittsburgh Pro and was able to make his own judgment on who the winner was. Even though he picked Walker, Yates still offered some specific advice about his performance.
“What the f*cks up with the chewing gum on stage man? Mr. Walker, don’t chew gym on stage mate, come on. If the judges said that they marked him down from first place to second place for chewing gum on stage, I would understand that more than saying the other guy had a better physique.”
The Olympia will be Walker’s goal as he prepares for the NY Pro. Dorian Yates discussed how size might be the enemy of detail in Men’s Open.
“Since there’s been so many classes, the Open Mr. Olympia has been going for size, fullness, and roundness, and lack of detail. If you inject things, site injections, that’s also going to take details away. I would have them coming in 10-15 pounds lighter. Then, they would look more detailed.”
Walker missed the 2023 Olympia as he dealt with a torn hamstring that impacted his preparation for the show. He ended up making his return during the New York Pro and was crowned champion, despite controversy surrounding the final results. He later announced that he would miss the 2024 Olympia as well. Now, his sights are set on the 2025 Olympia.
