Reigning Olympia champion Hadi Choopan has not been extremely active on Instagram but he has been active in the gym preparing to defend his title. When Choopan shares an update, fans pay attention. Recently, Hadi Choopan showed off an update of his insane back and conditioning.
In December of 2022, Choopan was able to reach the top of the scorecards during the biggest competition of the year in professional bodybuilding. This came after many close calls, including a third-place finish in 2021 Olympia. Over the years, Choopan has impressed with his incredible conditioning and symmetry within his physique. As the division gets bigger and better, Choopan seems to be doing the same.
The 2022 Olympia saw two-time champion, Big Ramy take a step back but some new threats emerged. Derek Lunsford made the jump from 212 and finished as the runner-up in his first Men’s Open competition. Samson Dauda was victorious during the 2023 Arnold Classic and has made significant strides under the guidance of Milos Sarcev.
As the calendar marches on and summer ends, Hadi Choopan continues to work to build the best physique possible in attempts to defend his Olympia title.

Hadi Choopan did not show off his entire physique but it was a back shot where fans got to see his insane size and conditioning.

The Men’s Open division continues to grow in talent. There are many competitors hoping to take a step forward this year, just like Lunsford last season.
Hadi Choopan has shared a handful of physique updates that have come with time in between. Following the 2023 Pittsburgh Pro, he sent a message to other competitors. Choopan was unable to make the show to guest pose in person but did share his own update.
In Pittsburgh, Derek Lunsford and Nick Walker headlined a deep group that appeared on stage. Of course, these were the two competitors that finished second and third respectively behind Choopan. For Lunsford, this was the event in 2022 where he first caught eyes as a Men’s Open competitor. His first show was the Olympia and he was able to defeat everyone but Choopan.
It will be interesting to see if any competitor is able to match the overall conditioning of Choopan, who might have the best in the sport. If he comes in at his best, Hadi Choopan has a chance to clinch his second Olympia title.
