Choopan won his first Olympia title in 2022. Derek Lunsford jumped Choopan at the 2023 Olympia to win his first title. Choopan was not satisfied with the result and quickly went back to work. He was able to win both the Arnold Classic and Arnold Classic UK.
Choopan has become known for his insane conditioning on stage. He has remained massive while bringing a shredded build to the stage. If he can do that once again, Choopan will be in the mix for the Olympia title once again. The Men’s Open division remains top-heavy with new competitors emerging each year. Choopan has been in the mix for years now and that will be the case once again.

“Today 😅

Last year, Choopan returned to the top three but fell to three, behind both Lunsford and new champion Samson Dauda. Choopan can now focus on improvements to make heading into the 2025 Olympia. In May, judge Steve Weinberger shared his thoughts on where Choopan could improve.
“I’d like to see even more sweep on his thighs and more width on his back and more tap on his delts. That’s what I’d like to see out of him. Because he’s as dangerous as any of those guys. He gets rock hard. His conditioning is never in question.”
Hadi Choopan knows the struggles of bodybuilding and is working to recover. Following his performance in 2024, Choopan shared an inspirational video about his journey. It would not be a surprise to see him make a run at the title once again.
“Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards. It’s like propelling your experience infinitely forward. So all that, the reversals, aren’t used as an excuse for your progress later.”
