Bodybuilder Hunter Labrada Shows Improvements Weeks Out From Tampa and Texas Pro Shows

Men’s Open Bodybuilder, Hunter Labrada is showing great improvement weeks out from the Tampa and Texas Pro shows.

Hunter Labrada recently gave a physique update eight and ten weeks out from the Tampa and Texas Pro shows respectively. Looking to rebound after a less-than-desirable performance at the 2022 Olympia, the Men’s Open bodybuilder, Labrada has changed up his routine and is looking to bring a more complete physique in 2023.

Son of the legendary Lee Labrada, Hunter Labrada has set out to carve his own legacy in competitive bodybuilding. While his father may have been known for his more classic physique, the younger Labrada has been able to fuse both the old-school and modern styles of Bodybuilding aesthetics. This combination has made him a man to watch on the competitive scene. With his father’s tutelage helping guide the way, Labrada has seen great success so far and his bodybuilding career.

After climbing all the way to fourth place at the 2021 Olympia, Hunter Labrada would drop to seventh in 2022. Suffice it to say, it’s a result that Labrada wasn’t all too pleased with. Looking to rectify the mistakes made in 2022, Labrada has switched things up in his bodybuilding contest preparation.

With the Tampa and Texas Pro shows just around the corner, Hunter Labrada sets his sights on both competitions. With eight and ten weeks until both shows, respectively, Labrada is showcasing his current physique, and laying out the game plan he intends to utilize to improve ahead of the events.

A New Approach

Sitting at 273lbs ahead of the shows, Hunter Labrada hopes to fine-tune his physique in the next several weeks. One massive change that Labrada made to his preparation is eating five instead of six meals a day. It has allowed him to get better sleep, and thus better recovery. Labrada revealed as much in a recent post on social media.

8 & 10 weeks out from the Tampa Pro and Texas Pro💪🏻 273lbs fasted

Well, the proverbial hammer got dropped this week! After a week of deload-ed training while in Florida with my family last week, I hit the ground running this weekend/week, and am watching my look change daily!

One of the biggest changes I want to highlight is I went from 6 meals a day to 5! Reason: I get 2 hours more sleep! I found myself just staying up to eat a lot recently, and now that the food was low enough for it not to mess with my digestion, I told @squatlikechow I wanted to give it a try and I’m glad I did! The meals are more satiating, and I’m recovering even better with the extra sleep!

Also started posing with @kj_centerstage / @joey1belt twice a week, and I’m sure y’all can see the difference that’s made already. Looking forward to my presentation being completely overhauled for this season💪🏻”
