Kai Greene’s Thanksgiving: What He Ate and Who He Spent It With

When Kai Greene talks about Thanksgiving, he lights up. He says his Thanksgiving was “beautiful” and that he truly loves the holiday.

So what does Kai Greene actually eat for Thanksgiving? He doesn’t lay out a full menu or recipes in this episode, but he focuses on the energy of the day rather than the food itself. The bodybuilding world often wonders how pros navigate a holiday built around indulgence. Kai keeps it simple. He enjoys the moment. He sees Thanksgiving as a break, a reset, and a chance to appreciate what he has.

He also talks about how much he loves spending this time of year in Florida. The warm weather makes life easier, especially during the holiday season. Even with the sunshine, though, Kai says he wears a hoodie all year long.

The reason is thermogenesis. He believes in sweating, staying warm, and keeping that internal engine running hot. While many lifters love tank tops or training shirtless to show off muscle, Kai stands firm in an old school principle. The best pros, he says, don’t peacock. They don’t need to show off in the gym. They grind quietly.

The Hoodie Mindset and a Lesson From Branch Warren

Kai Greene shares a story that highlights that mindset. Years ago, before Branch Warren had his hard-earned reputation, Kai saw him backstage wearing big baggy clothes. Kai barely noticed him. Branch didn’t look like someone who would be a threat on stage. Then Branch stepped out and shocked everyone. He won the show. No flash. No showing off. Just consistency and work.

Kai compares this to Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi. Luke shows up after years of training and gets the job done. No noise. No ego. Just execution. That idea is central to the way Kai sees bodybuilding. Sweatshirts instead of tank tops. Focus instead of attention seeking. Earned results over loud confidence.

Shaun Clarida’s Bold Goal: Can He Do Two Divisions at the 2026 Olympia?

One of the major topics of the episode is Shaun Clarida. Clarida is now qualified for both the Men’s Open and 212 divisions at the 2026 Olympia. He wants to compete in both during the same event. The problem is that current Olympia rules do not allow athletes to compete in more than one division.

Should the rules change? Should Clarida be allowed to try?

Kai Greene respects Clarida’s ambition but makes it clear how difficult this would be. Perfecting a peak for one division at the Olympia is hard enough. Doing it for two at once would be a massive challenge. The standards don’t match. The timing is precise. The demands on the body double.

But Kai doesn’t dismiss the idea. He shares a story about another athlete who once competed in two divisions at the same event and won both. It wasn’t the Olympia, but it proves the idea isn’t impossible. If the Olympia ever allowed it, Kai believes it would be an unforgettable moment and something fans would talk about for years.

Whether it’s wise for Clarida is another question. Two preps in one weekend is risky. It could cost him both titles. But if anyone is determined enough to attempt it, Clarida is that guy.

Kirill “Bazooka Arms” Tereshin: The Reality Behind the Headlines

Reports have been circulating that Kirill Tereshin, also known as “Bazooka Arms,” may need his arms amputated due to heavy synthol abuse. Kirill denies the claims. Kai Greene responds with empathy first. He says he truly hopes that Kirill is not about to lose his arms. Nobody deserves that kind of outcome.

Kai also talks about extreme ambition. People outside the sports world often fail to understand the mindset behind pushing physical limits. True champions, he says, can be so driven that they see the world differently. But in Kirill’s case, the obsession has gone too far. Kai notes that Kirill appears to be addicted to synthol to the point of body distortion, and likely needs therapy or professional help to overcome the dysmorphia driving these decisions.

Even so, Kai refuses to approach the topic with judgment. He wants the best for Kirill, not punishment or ridicule.

The Tren Twins: Kai Greene’s Take on Their Rise

The Tren Twins are everywhere in the fitness world. Love them or hate them, they’ve built a massive following. Kai Greene gives them credit. He says young athletes today have to understand technology and social media if they want to succeed. The world has changed. Bodybuilders cannot train in silence anymore. They must split their attention and build a brand while still getting stronger.

It’s not easy. And the Tren Twins found a way to break through. Kai sees that as impressive, even if their style is different from his. He puts them in the same category as Sam Sulek and others shaping the next era of fitness culture. Whether you agree with them or not, their success took real work and real creativity.

Lightning Round: Kai Greene Answers Fan Questions

Q1: How do I lose belly fat without giving up pizza or Five Guys?

Kai Greene keeps it honest. He says he doesn’t like to give advice he hasn’t tried himself. He has never attempted to lose body fat while still eating pizza and burgers, so he won’t pretend it’s possible. If you want real results, you need to get serious and cut back on those foods. In his eyes, giving up pizza for a while is not a huge sacrifice if the goal matters to you.

Q2: Are energy drinks healthy or dangerous?

Kai Greene says he hears the same conflicting information as everyone else. His stance is simple. Anything beyond moderation can become unhealthy. He avoids sugar as much as possible and prefers zero-sugar options when he does drink an energy drink.

He encourages people to read labels, research ingredients, and understand what they are putting into their bodies. For him, caffeine is great, sugar is not, and the key is knowing your limits.

Wrap Up

This episode of Kai Greene Effect blends humor, deep experience, and honest advice. He talks about Thanksgiving, but the themes go far beyond the holiday. Kai highlights what matters in bodybuilding: staying focused, avoiding ego traps, adapting to the modern world, and keeping your health at the center of everything.

His stories about Branch Warren, his thoughts on Shaun Clarida, his compassion for Kirill Tereshin, and his respect for the Tren Twins all share one message. Results come from commitment, discipline, and understanding who you are and what you want to achieve.

If you’re a fan of bodybuilding, fitness culture, or Kai Greene himself, this episode delivers plenty to think about and plenty to learn from.
