Larry Wheels recently spoke on his diagnosis of Rhabdo and how he is recovering.

Larry Wheels has been keeping up with his health in recent years and providing many updates to fans. Recently, he was diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis and hospitalized. On Saturday, he shared a YouTube video providing a health update and explaining his rehab process.

Around this time last year, Wheels began getting his health checked by doctors. After using different steroids for over a decade, Wheels decided to ween off gearand begin using testosterone replacement therapy. While on TRT, Wheels has shared many physique updates where he remains shredded and is putting size back on.

Rhabdomyolysis is a severe condition where damaged muscle tissue breakdown and releases the protein myoglobin into the blood stream. This release of the protein can damage the kidneys. Constant fluid replacement through an IV can be a treatment to avoid damaging kidneys.

Larry Wheels Provides Health Update

Larry Wheels began his video by explaining how he came across this diagnosis.

“How it started was a week ago. I was experiencing light headedness that I couldn’t explain. So, I’m not diabetic. I don’t have a history of having low blood sugar and I was not on any stimulants. I’m not taking insulin. I just couldn’t figure out why I was feeling light headed, having hot flashes, being dizzy. There was no pain anywhere in m body so it was unexplained.”

Wheels was training with former Classic Physique champion Breon Ansley when he did not feel right. He took a trip to the hospital and they found that his creatine kinase levels were elevated.

“After the workout with Breon, that’s when I felt it come on so strong. I started panicking more than I had the last few days. It came back relentlessly. I was really feeling even more than the gym so much to the point where I felt like I couldn’t stand up straight.

I went to the ER and they ended up diagnosing me with rhabdo. They said my creatine kinase levels, my CK levels, were elevated. Normal is between 50 and 100. I was at 2,500. They said I was at risk for kidney damage, if not failure. They basically told me you gotta stay in the hospital, take this IV with some fluids, get rehydrated.”

Wheels ended the video by discussing his rehab process and what he is going to do to improve his health.

“Taking the nuun tabs, drinking plenty of water, eating every three hours. I’ve been doing like this and I’ve been feeling a rapid improvement day-by-day so much so to the point where yesterday I benched 405 on the incline for 13 reps and that was fantastic. My all-time best with that weight is 14, I believe.”

Larry Wheels continues to show his insane strength in the gym and is preparing to take the stage as a bodybuilder in the future. He will do what it takes to improve his health and continue to improve his physique as well.
