Michal Krizo plans to qualify for the 2025 Olympia in November after recovering from surgery.
Michal Krizo shared in June that he would not pursue qualification for the 2024 Olympia after suffering a shoulder injury. Recently, Krizo shared his plan for surgery on his YouTube page. He will undergo surgery on August 19 before attempting to qualify for the 2025 Olympia.
“I am having surgery on August 19. The recovery should take up to six weeks maximum and after those six weeks, I should be able to go hard again. I should be able to move the shoulder fully one week after the surgery.”
Krizo has been working to make improvements since his appearance at the 2023 Olympia, where he made a jump in his second competition. He appeared last weekend at the 2024 Empro Classic Pro looking to punch his ticket to this year’s event. He finished third in Men’s Open behind winner William Bonac and Behrooz Tabani.

Michal Krizo Continues To Train In The Gym
Michal Krizo shared this announcement during a recent workout. He also shared that he will plan to compete in the EVLS Prague Pro in November in hopes of punching his ticket to the Olympia in 2025.
Krizo has tailored his workouts since the injury. This includes eliminating all pressing movements.
“Side laterals, I have also shown what degree I can do lateral raises up to and I also do it with no weight essentially. I do this movement for about 20 repetitions.”

Krizo is able to hit shoulders in certain ways despite his injury.
“I can do presses for front delts with about half or three quarters the weight I normally do. Rear delt exercises are fine to but as I said, no presses for the chest. I can do seated chest press with elbows closer together.”
Arms and legs are also able to move forward as regular.
“Biceps and triceps as regular. Back has some limitations. It’s not recommended for me to do pull downs and such. I can do rows for back depth with cable or anything else and I think I could probably do bent over rows too.”
