Chris Cormier and Dexter Jackson had plenty of good things to say about Rubiel Mosquera.

Rubiel Mosquera, known as Neckzilla, turned many heads during his IFBB pro debut at the 2023 ELVS Prague Pro Show and this has led to some major comparisons. During a recent conversation, Chris Cormier and Dexter Jackson had plenty of things to say about Neckzilla, including his prospects against the likes of Nick Walker.

Mosquera burst onto the scene in the IFBB Elite Pro League before making the jump to the NPC. He quickly earned his Pro Card during the 2023 EVLS Prague Pro Amateur. Following this show, he took the stage just one day later to compete in Men’s Open. Neckzilla finished third in the show behind Samson Dauda and Michal Krizo.

Following the show, Mosquera drew lower-body comparisons to Big Ramy because of the insane size of his quads. During a recent episode of The Menace Podcast, the comparisons went one step further.

“This dude reminds me of Ronnie Coleman.

I’ll tell you this, I saw him close up and I saw the side triceps, I saw the side chest, it’s f*cking ridiculous. This dude has got muscles everywhere.”

The conversation continued to talk about Mosquera’s prospects against some of the best in the world right now.

Would Neckzilla Defeat Nick Walker?

Nick Walker finished third at the 2022 Olympia but was forced to miss this year’s show with a hamstring injury. Chris Cormier went onto talk about Mosquera and compared his lat spread to Walker.

“Let’s say if Nick Walker did a lat spread, his lat spread is going to be bigger than him in ihefront. Turn around to the back, I think Walker’s lat spread would be better because his lats sit lower but from the front, he’s going to beat Nick Walker.”

The side shots, all he needs is density. He needs his body to be dense but I’m telling you now, I’m going to dedicate myself to make this kid have a fast track to the top.”

Dexter Jackson agreed and talked about just how good Mosquera could be in the IFBB.

“We’re not taking nothing from your guy [Samson Dauda]. All I’m saying, this guy just turned Pro and competed in a show the next day? He was rumbling with these dudes, bro. Look at Samson, his Pro debut, and look at this guy. Look at anybody’s pro debut and look at this guy.

Just think what this guy could be.”

Rubiel Mosquera will continue to work this year in order to win a show and qualify for the 2024 Olympia. There has already been a chance to compare him with some other top competitors and it will be interesting to see how he would stack up against the best of the best.
