Nick Walker’s Leg Workout

Walker focused on his quads during his recent leg day, which he shared on YouTube:
Leg Curl Machine
Walker began his workout with the leg curl machine. The entire workout was done with straight sets. He opted for this machine as a warmup to get his hamstrings fired up.
“You don’t need to do as much sets as you think you do training this way. Just from the inflammation but sometimes you gotta do it.”
Leg Extension Machine
Walker moved onto leg extensions, where he was able to discuss intensifiers. He shared that they are best used when “taking volume down.”
“Instead of doing three or four sets where that can be very simulating, let’s just say you do one set, then you do a rest-pause, that’s enough.”
Hack Squats
Hack squats are considered one of the best exercises to build quads. Walker went back to higher reps for this exercise.
“I do train legs more in the higher rep range for the most part. It depends on the machine.”
Hip Abduction/Adduction
Nick Walker moved onto hip abduction and adduction machines. During this stage of prep, he focuses on adding more carbs than fat into his diet since he is focused on burning.
“When you train this way, training frequency and don’t overdo it, you’re just going to burn.”
Standing Calf Raises
The final exercise of the session was standing calf raises. This was a quad-focused leg day, which Walker shares he likes to do often, but begins with hamstrings and ends with calves.
