Nick Walker plans to keep his waist as tight as possible this year.

Nick Walker came into the new year looking to make improvements to provide better results than 2025. Walker, who has been coaching himself during prep for the 2026 Arnold Classic, has been criticized about his midsection recently. He shared a leg day nine weeks out of the competition and discussed how he plans to tighten up his waist for Columbus.

“I still feel like I’m way ahead of schedule…I don’t want to make big, drastic changes so we’ll probably start with lowering some fats.”

Nick Walker fell down the scorecard further than expected during the 2025 Olympia. Following this performance, he shared that he wold no longer be working with Kyle Wilkes, who he teamed up with following his withdrawal from the 2024 competition. Last year, he was victorious during the 2025 New York Pro and second-place finish at the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro, where he finished as the runner-up to Derek Lunsford.

It was a busy 2025 season but it did not end the way Walker wanted. This has led to a change in approach and new priorities in the gym and within his diet plan.

Nick Walker Shares Plans to Improve Midsection

The plan is clear for Nick Walker and that is to bring the best look possible to the Arnold stage. That includes improving his midsection, which has brought many questions in recent years. Walker plans to tighten up his waist. He headlined how he will be changing his fruit meals but will not add any addition cardio just yet.

“I don’t feel the need to implement cardio just yet other than my walk I do in the morning, which is about an hour.

As far as fruit goes, I’m still going to keep my fruit meals the same but instead of a bunch of blueberries and stuff, I’ll probably take some of those out and implement more dates and raisins, which are a little more dense. Less volume of food. The blueberries and all that, they digest very well but it’s a lot in one portion.”

Walker was forced to miss the 2023 Olympia after suffering a torn hamstring. He was able to return to the stage and win the 2024 New York Pro, which punched his ticket to the biggest show of the year once again. He did not make it to the stage once again but made a complete return in 2025.

Walker continues to have confidence in himself and what he can create himself heading into the Arnold.

“I want to make sure my waist is as tight as I can make it outside of my own genetic ability. I’m not going to come on stage and have a f*cking tight-ass Classic Physique waist but for how wide I am, if I can get it really tight, I think it will create a very, very good look for me.”
