Ronnie Coleman received his latest accolade during the Tampa Pro.
Bodybuilding legend Ronnie Coleman continues to rack up accolades in retirement. After a decorated career full of victory, Coleman received his latest award over the weekend at the 2024 Tampa Pro. Coleman was given the 2024 Ben Weider Lifetime Achievement Award at the event.
Coleman now joins former winners of this award such as Flex Wheeler, Rich Gaspari, and Vince Taylor.

His professional debut was in 1991 at the IFBB World Amateur Championships and his first win as a professional was at the 1995 Canada Pro Cup. Then after his first place win at the Canada Pro Cup, Coleman’s meteoric rise to fame could not be stopped. He currently holds the record for most wins of the Mr. Olympia title (8 times, tied with Lee Haney) and the most overall wins for any IFBB professional (26 wins).

Coleman quickly became known for his insane strength and work ethic in the gym. He has also overcome plenty of obstacles over the course of his career. He has suffered a very serious spinal problem and also severely injured his back, shoulder, hips, and neck due to heavy weightlifting, and ended up leading to 13 total surgeries. The injury is what really caused him to retire from bodybuilding, as it got to the point where Ronnie says he was in too much pain to continue.
Ronnie Coleman built a physique that was insanely muscular with great conditioning. The Men’s Open legend battled some other greats onstage, highlighted by his well known rivalry with Jay Cutler. Since retiring, Coleman has created a successful social media platform because of his combination of entertainment and interaction with fans. He continues to train at a high level as well and is one of the most influential voices in bodybuilding.
