Milos Sarcev and Chris Cormier discussed how Ronnie Coleman competed natural for four years.
Ronnie Coleman built a career that has him among the all-time greats on stage and he has remained active in retirement as well. Before his run to multiple Olympia titles, Coleman found success on stage without the use of drugs. Milos Sarcev and Chris Cormier discussed how Coleman competed naturally during two Olympia competitions.
Coleman won the Olympia each year from 1998-2005 before being taken down by Jay Cutler in 2006. He is tied with Lee Haney for most Olympia victories of all-time with eight. Before his reign began in 1998, Coleman apparently competed without the use of drugs early in his career.
“Yesterday I got a phone call from Andrea Presti. He was asking me to go on podcast with him and talk about Ronnie being natural back in 91, 92, 93, 94 then because nobody believed it.”
Ronnie Coleman became known for his insane size on stage but also his work ethic and strength in the gym. In retirement, Coleman has continued to train and has also built a successful social media platform where he can share knowledge and talk to fans.
Chris Cormier & Milos Sarcev Discuss Ronnie Coleman
Chris Cormier has competed against Ronnie Coleman in the past. On a recent episode of The Menace Podcast, Cormier recalls the 1991 Mr. Universe competition, where Coleman entered naturally.
“He did the Universe in 91 and he passed the tests. I didn’t even go to test. I said ‘I’m not going to go.’ Ronnie placed ahead of me. I know he’s natural. why would I waste my time going to get tested?”

Milos Sarcev took it one further and explained how he entered multiple Olympia’s without drugs.
“That year, if you remember, he was like 14th at the USA. 14th and then he goes to the Nationals and wins. So, he actually made the Olympia twice drug-free. 92 and 94.”
The legend of Ronnie Coleman on stage will live on forever and many know the powers that he had in the gym. The fact that he was able to compete for years naturally just adds to his story further.
