Samir Bannout became the latest to share his Mr. Olympia predictions ahead of the show!
The 2024 Olympia is just days away and predictions continue to roll in. Recently, Samir Bannout shared his thoughts and predictions on the upcoming Mr. Olympia event.
The Men’s Open division is deep once again this year with reigning champion Derek Lunsford returning to defend his title. Many believe he will repeat this year. Bannout picked him to win as well but that is if he comes in at his best.
“Derek is going to repeat. Again, if they show up like last year, he won’t repeat. Last year, I wasn’t impressed although I like his body. When Derek is on, I’ll put him first.”
Bannout continued to share his predictions and thoughts on the division.
Samir Bannout’s Top 10 Mr. Olympia Prediction
Samir Bannout listed his Top 10 selections for the upcoming event:
- First Place – Derek Lunsford
- Second Place – Andrew Jacked
- Third Place – Hadi Choopan
- Fourth Place – Samson Dauda
- Fifth Place – Nick Walker (No Longer Competing)
- Sixth Place – Brandon Curry
- Seventh Place – Hunter Labrada
- Eighth Place – Rafael Brandao
- Ninth Place – Mohamed Foda
- Tenth Place – Theo Leguerrier
After Lunsford, Bannout predicts a bit of an upset with Andrew Jcked finishing as the runner-up.
“Between Hadi and Andrew Jacked, I think there will be an upset right now. From what I heard from Chris Aceto, I think that Andrew is going to make it into second place.”

Bannout picked Choopan to round out the top three. Many believe the battle for first will be between Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford but Bannout has placed Jacked in the mix as well.
“I love Hadi. I love the way he trains, his intensity. The only thing I look at Hadi’s upper thighs and abs and chest striations. That’s really going to leave an impact on the judge’s minds. They’re all chiseled. That’s going to change the mind of some of the judges.”
The 2024 Mr. Olympia will begin with Men’s Open prejudging n Friday night after the first round of winners are crowned. This year’s champion will be the last winner announced on Saturday night.
