Will Tennyson had to try the cheat meals of what some legendary bodybuilders eat post-Olympia.

Fitness star Will Tennyson has taken on many workout challenges and has gotten out of his comfort zone in the industry. This includes eating challenges to get a sense of how some of the biggest stars in the sport prep meals. This time, it was about cheat meals post-Olympia.

Tennyson has hit workouts with the likes of reigning World’s Strongest Man Mitchell Hooper. He has also taken on different routines of stars, such as Dwayne Johnson. In July, he went in a different direction and attempted to workout like a performer from Cirque du Soleil. More recently, Tennyson took on a 6,000-calorie diet of Ronnie Coleman.

In his latest video, Tennyson combined the cheat meal of four different bodybuilding legends — Coleman, Jay Cutler, Phil Heath, and Chris Bumstead. Together, these four competitors have won 24 titles in Men’s Open and Classic Physique. With Bumstead still active, that number could continue to grow in years to come.

Will Tennyson Attacks Cheat Meals

Bodybuilders put in tremendous work over the course of the year to prepare for their appearance at the Olympia. Once the show is complete, they will indulge in their favorite cheat meals before getting back to work. Tennyson found the favorites of some of the best in the business.

Phil Heath

Phil Heath

  • Ice Cream
  • Burger
  • Fries
  • Pizza
  • Salad

Phil Heath ranks second all-time with seven Olympia victories and is still keeping his physique in elite shape. During his time on stage, he would dominate before taking on a taste of some of his favorite foods. Tennyson shared a video of a conversation with Heath where he talked about eating just a bite or two of a lot of different foods. Also, he would make sure not to overindulge because of photoshoots.

“What you try to do is, you line up a bunch of different things, and have a piece of everything. When you start eating all of these high-inflammatory foods, it destroys your gut microbiome and you’re gonna have photoshoots the next day, maybe the next three to five days,” Heath explained.

Tennyson hit Five Guys to get a burger and fries. He also had a slice of pizza and ice cream. Like Heath suggested, Tennyson did not finish the meal but had just a small amount of each. He admitted that this was more difficult.

Jay Cutler

  • Multiple glasses of water

Jay Cutler took a different approach post-Olympia. The four-time champion would not indulge in his favorite foods but instead would make sure to hydrate his body. To prepare for shows, bodybuilders want to look as dried out as possible and this means they are very dehydrated. For Cutler, the goal was to rehydrate and that was enough after the show.

“Not even a lemon, not even a flavor drop. Nothing. Imagine how dehydrated he must have been, like how vascular he must have been. You win a show, you go backstage, and you see other bodybuilders throwing back cake, throwing back pizza, throwing back donuts, and you opt for this.

Lowkey, it’s kind of a flex. You win the biggest bodybuilding show in the world and all you need to get back to homeostasis is a glass of water.”

Chris Bumstead

  • Mug Cake

Chris Bumstead has showed many different and creative ways to eat different foods while remaining healthy. This includes his protein pancakes that he eats during prep at times. Bumstead has said that he opts for his fiancé Courtney King’s mug cake.

“I would take this over the Five Guys burger, I would take this over the pizza. You always gotta be suspicious when a recipe that’s supposed to be healthy has pumpkin in it but this, you barely even know it’s there.”

This mug cake consists of Japanese sweet potato, pumpkin, one whole egg, protein powder, and chocolate chips. Tennyson found the recipe online and whipped it up. He admitted that this was his favorite meal so far.

Ronnie Coleman

  • Champagne
  • 10-12 slices of pizza
  • 2 McDonald’s Quarter Pounders
  • 3-4 McDonald’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ronnie Coleman has the most Olympia victories of all-time with eight and he also has the most food in his cheat meal. Coleman would enjoy some Dom Perignon to celebrate, along with 10-12 slices of pizza and a trip to McDonald’s. Tennyson subbed Dom with sparking wine and a box of Pizza Hut.
