Blessing Awodibu has focused on improving his conditioning this year.

Blessing Awodibu continues to make great strides this year. He has focused on improving his conditioning after his showing in the 2022 Olympia competition. Awodibu has been active on social media but his most recent post has been the best of them all.

Awodibu burst onto the scene in 2022. He brought an impressive package to the stage and parlayed it with an outgoing and entertaining personality. Awodibu was victorious during the 2022 New York Pro and 2022 Indy Pro in order to punch his ticket to the Olympia. Awodibu did not bring his best to the stage and dropped outside of the Top 15. Following the show, he withdrew his name from the 2023 Arnold Classic in order to make improvements.

Awodibu is now four weeks out from competing in both Italy and Spain. He hopes to qualify for the 2023 Olympia with a victory in the next month or so. If he enters looking his best, it is possible that he will be back on the sport’s biggest stage.

Blessing Awodibu Impressive Physique Update

On Monday, Blessing Awodibu was sharing multiple posing shots to show fans his progress.

“Super flat but we good right here 4 weeks out & condition improving daily @cameron_cheek Lfg gang”

It is clear that Awodibu has focused on his conditioning and that was the plan all along. Before the Arnold Classic, he shared a post announcing that he would skip the show for this very reason and explained his performance at the Olympia.

“GOING OFF COMPLETELY FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS AFTER INDY AND NEW YORK SHOWS AND TRAVELLING REALLY AFFECTED MY OLYMPIA PREP NEGATIVELY, I DEFINITELY LOST SOME MUSCLE MASS AND I DIDN’T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO FILL OUT MY PHYSIQUE BEFORE THE OLYMPIA.

SO RIGHT NOW I’M JUST GIVING MY BODY THE MUCH NEEDED TIME TO BRING MY SHAPE BACK BEFORE ANY PREP.”

Blessing Awodibu guaranteed a “crazy comeback” and that is what he is planning for in four weeks.

Awodibu has made the adjustments and will hit the stage to qualify for the Olympia. He does not want to take an entire year off so he will have to win a show in order to qualify for the biggest show.

The Olympia qualification system has changed this year. If an athlete did not finish in the top three in the previous year, or top five in Men’s Open, they will have to win a show to qualify. The points qualification system is no more. Also, former winners of an Olympia title have lifetime eligibility.

If he is able to do so in four weeks, Blessing Awodibu will bring eyeballs to the Olympia to see if he made the improvements needed. If social media is and indication, it looks as though he has.
