The two Olympia alums hit a posedown at Evo Land in Germany.
Two bodybuilding greats joined forces for a pose down recently, sparking even more hopes of comebacks. Phil Heath and Roelly Winklaar were seen at Evo Land in Germany hitting bodybuilding poses following a workout.
Both Heath and Winklaar have not competed in years but fans continue to hope that both will make a return to the stage in some capacity. While neither have made it seem like this is close to happening, they opened eyes by hitting poses together.
Heath totaled seven Olympia titles over the course of his career. Just like Ronnie and Jay, Phil Heath had an intense rivalry with Kai Greene. In 2020, he stepped on stage for the what seems to be the final time, but has been active in the gym ever since. During the 2020 show, Heath finished third and fans have been waiting for his return ever since. As of now, Heath is tied with Schwarzenegger with seven Olympia victories.
Winklaar has not yet retired but has not been on stage in three years. He competed at the Olympia 10 times over the course of his career but was never able to grab the elusive Sandow Trophy. In 2018, Winklaar put on his best show and finished third to the late Shawn Rhoden and Phil Heath. In 2021, Winklaar stepped on stage for the last time during the 2021 Romania Muscle Fest Pro.
Would Phil Heath or Roelly Winklaar Compete At Masters Olympia?
The Masters Olympia has made its return in recent years. This opened the door for many bodybuilding greats to get back into it and do what they love. Naturally, Phil Heath was one of the names mentioned. In 2025, he answered if he would do the show and made his intentions quite clear.
“I’m not gonna compete. There’s no Masters Olympia for me.”

As for Roelly Winklaar, he has not officially retired yet. During his career, Winklaar became known for his extreme workouts in the gym. He reached 305 pounds at his peak and believes that his best look came during the 2018 Arnold Classic Australia. He has dealt with different injuries over the years and this has halted any progress toward returning. In 2023, Winklaar claimed that he “did not want to retire.” Three years later, he continues to train at a high level but it remains unknown if he will step on stage again.
