Kyle Landi is the first Canadian bodybuilder with Down Syndrome and has inspired others during his journey.

Kyle Landi is working to become the first-ever Canadian bodybuilder with Down Syndrome. During his fitness journey, he has inspired many and has gotten a chance to show off his physique on the biggest stages, including the 2023 Arnold Classic.

Hailing from Milton, Ontario, Canada, Landi realized his passion for fitness at a young age. He joined a gym for the first time when he was 12 and was able to take his goals to the next level. Now, the 23-year-old continues to improve and has goals of competing on stage in 2024. Landi has also set his sights on acquiring a black belt in karate next year.

Landi’s parents, Joseph and Kimberley, got his first gym membership and continue to work with him today. Joseph, who works as a police officer, believes that training has improved Landi’s self-confidence, via Daily Mail.

“Prior to bodybuilding, Kyle walked with a slouch with his head down…Today, he carries himself differently. He is humble but very confident in himself and his mindset is that of a champion.”

Landi continues to be an inspiration in and out of the gym. His father shared a story where Landi alerted teachers to call 911 when a fellow student was having a seizure in school.

“He is a positive role model who leads by example, holding himself to a high standard of performance in and out of the gym.”

As Kyle Landi continues to work toward his goal of competing on the bodybuilding stage, he will inspire those in and out of the gym and show that anything is possible.
