Larry Wheels Announces Opening Of His First Public Gym

Larry Wheels and his team will not have a budget when building his first public gym.

Larry Wheels is a fitness star that has taken on many challenges over the course of his career. He has accomplished great things but there has been one thing missing — opening a gym. Recently, Wheels announced that he will officially check that off his list and open his first public gym.

Wheels burst onto the scene because of his insane size and feats of strength in powerlifting. During his career, he also dabbled in bodybuilding and arm wrestling. In 2018, Wheels made his bodybuilding debut by competing in the NPC Gold Coast Muscle Classic, where he won gold. Now, a return could be on the horizon after a successful run in many other fitness ventures.

Around this time last year, Wheels began getting his health checked by doctors. After using different steroids for over a decade, Wheels decided to ween off gearand begin using testosterone replacement therapy. While on TRT, Wheels has shared many physique updates where he remains shredded and is putting size back on.

While he continues his journey to bodybuilding, Wheels has shared many workouts and physique updates. Now, he will take his love for fitness to the next level and open his own gym.

Larry Wheels Will Have No Budget When Opening Gym

Larry Wheels took to YouTube to announce that he is planning to open his first public gym. He partnered with Ryan Benson of Team Zero Gravity to accomplish this goal. The gym will be called “OG Gym” and stands for One Generation.

The gym area will have a 35-foot ceiling with an extra 8,000-9,000 square-foot area outside. The total area of the space will be around 14,100 square feet. The group is currently waiting for the current tenant’s lease to end.

The overall purpose of the gym will focus on bodybuilding and powerlifting but will have many other assets as well. There will be a second-floor that will serve as the cardio room along with areas for posing, recovery, and even meal-prep services. While many gyms have to operate under a budget, Wheels and the group will not have a budget. Benson believes the project will cost around $3 million in total.

“We want the $5 million gym,” Benson said.”

Larry Wheels continued to discuss how this has always been a dream of his and he believes that it will be successful.

“It was always a dream of mine to open a gym. However, when I contacted people that have opened gym, I didn’t hear the most inspiring stories. I usually heard of gyms struggling with members, struggling to make ends meet, and for a long time I was really apprehensive because I didn’t hear any success stories. All I heard was it’s not a good idea. It’s a low-profit margin business.”

Larry Wheels continues to work on achieving his own goals to get on a bodybuilding stage but is also focused on other areas of fitness as well. There is no timetable to when the gym will be open but the plan is in place.
