Jay Cutler goes into detail about his 2023 transformation goals and addresses the rumors about competing in Masters Olympia

Jay Cutler‘s recent physique has sparked rumors across the bodybuilding industry – will he be competing in the 2023 Masters Olympia this summer? In a recent YouTube video, Jay Cutler directly addresses the rumor while also giving an in-detail update on his physique transformation goals before turning 50.

Jay Cutler is a bodybuilding legend that is well known in the industry. His four Mr. Olympia wins have cemented him forever in the sport’s history. But over the past few years, Cutler has also found great success as a bodybuilding personality – deeply involving himself in the new generation of bodybuilding and starting his own podcast.

Most recently, Jay Cutler has begun a video blog series chronicling his attempts to improve his physique. His goal – to upgrade his strength, size, and conditioning before he turns 50. This approach, and the improvement noticed in his physique by fans, has sparked speculation. His personal goal to transform before 50 lines perfectly up with the return of the Masters Olympia later this year. Will we see the return of Jay Cutler to the bodybuilding stage?

The Masters Olympia return is set to return this year after an 11-year absence. The announcement was made in 2022 and seems to be part of relatively new Olympia owner Jake Wood’s approach to reinvigorate the brand. It was also announced that the first place prize money would amount to $229,000. A pretty penny for retired legends looking for a good payday. The Masters Olympia is slated to take place in Romania on August 25-27.

Jay Cutler details his plan to transform his physique utilizing a strict nutrition plan training regimen, and TRT

Jay Cutler’s most recent video doesn’t address the Masters Olympia rumor front and center. Instead, it provides an in-depth look at his transformation goals and how he plans to achieve them. He claims that after showcasing his physique previously – the comments motivated him to take his transformation plan to the next level.

“I need to change the pace a little bit especially if I’m going to go into this thing in May and start really – you know, I really want to dedicate myself and really transform my physique. To be honest, when I took my shirt off last time on video, it really gave me a lot more motivation because you see what you look like on video – obviously, the feedback, people have been, ‘Oh, Jay looks great.’ But to me, honestly, I thought I looked like crap. I was disappointed. There’s a physique I want and that physique I want isn’t anything like the Olympia physique.”

Jay Cutler then dives right into it – claiming that he is moving full steam ahead by putting together a proper nutrition plan, training, and Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT).

“I think honestly, I literally could transform this body, no drugs, nothing. I mean, obviously, I’m going to use my TRT. It’s all food. It’s all dedication to the training and training with enough intensity. That training doesn’t have to be balls to the wall. You’re going to have days where you train really hard, and anyone training right now – speaking to my whole audience, whether it’s male, female, age brackets from young to older, you should have days where it’s turned up and have days where it’s turned down. You make adjustments based on how you feel.”

Jay Cutler denies any plan to compete in the 2023 Masters Olympia

Towards the end of the video, Jay Cutler grabs some food and while it is being prepared, walks to the supplement store next door. During the visit, an employee asks him point blank if Cutler will be doing the Masters Olympia.

Jay Cutler quickly shoots the notion down. He does state that he will be at the Masters Olympia event – but more as a face for bodybuilding and not in any effort to compete. The employee goes on to say that he is teasing the bodybuilding community. Cutler laughs and his camera man states, “He likes to do that.”

In today’s day and age – social media and viral marketing is a part of life when running a brand. Jay Cutler is a legend and a name that has weight. He knows every action or statement will not only be analyzed but over-analyzed again and again. Much like the likes of Kai Greene and even Phil Heath, these bodybuilding stars understand that there is more engagement with a little mystery.

It’s the very reason why many will likely not believe Jay Cutler’s statements even in this video. He clearly denies any plan to compete in the Masters Olympia – but some will assume he’s just lying so that more excitement builds and then a big surprise can come when the roster is finally announced.

For now, we are going to take him at his word. But who knows, maybe he’s not even lying. Maybe he will simply change his mind as he sees progress in his transformation goals. Anything can happen. At the moment, it seems that Jay Cutler is simply enjoying the feeling of improving his physique and the engagement it generates. Bodybuilding is his life – so transforming his physique and engaging with the bodybuilding community is exactly what he lives for.
