Krzysztof Wierzbicki continues to show off his strength coming off an injury.

Powerlifter Krzysztof Wierzbicki continues to work his way back from an injury and looks as strong as ever in recent Instagram posts. Wierzbicki continues to reach new heights deadlifting and this includes a recent triumph of 510kg (1,124.4lbs) off low blocks during a recent training session.

Wierzbicki stepped up to the loaded barbell that was perched on low blocks with lifting straps. He did not have a lifting belt on and used a sumo stance to begin moving the massive weight. After a slow start, Wierzbicki was able to pass the checkpoint and he locked out with ease. This showed that there was more in the tank for the powerlifter.

“Well, there was one more small series, just a little heavier😁

The use of low blocks aided the lift a bit, along with a sumo stance which many argue is easier than the conventional stance when deadlifting. On his Instagram profile, Wierzbicki shared that his ultimate goal is to deadlift 520kg. In another recent post, he expressed that he is still working his way back from an injury but looks as strong as ever.

Krzysztof Wierzbicki Competition Bests

  • Deadlift: 320kg (705.4lbs) at the 2017 XPC-Poland World Cup
  • Bench Press: 200kg (440.9lbs) at the 2017 IPF World Games
  • Squat: 447.5kg (986.5lbs) at the 2021 WRPF-POL Mistrzostwa Polski
  • Total: 941kg (2,074.5lbs) at the 2020 NAP Siberian Championships

Eddie Hall became the first man to deadlift 500kg. He did so during Europe’s Strongest Man competition back in 2016. Hall set a new world record just to have it beaten by Hafthor Bjornsson at 501kg. Both Strongmen used a conventional stance, which brings less criticism than a sumo stance.

This could be the mark for Wierzbicki to reach and he is not alone. In December, Ventsislav Dimitrov crushed a 500kg (1,102.3lb) deadlift. In the video, Dimitrov used a mixed grip in a sumo stance to complete the lift. He wore lifting straps and used a Texas deadlift bar. This is a barbell with more give than a standard Olympic barbell.

Wierzbicki seems to be in the new era of deadlifters looking to make a name for themselves and is well on his way to accomplishing his goals.
