“If you have already been to the Olympia many times or have more rough plans to move forward, you can briefly do without your Olympia and sit it out and wait for further improvement.”

De Asha became popular due to his insane size and symmetry on stage. He put together a strong year in 2021, winning the 2021 Europa Pro Championships. He followed that up with victories at the 2021 Arnold Classic UK and Yamamoto Cup. After his latest victory, there were injury issues that kept De Asha out of competitions.

De Asha was preparing to return to the Arnold Classic in 2022 but suffered a bicep injury that forced him to pull out of the competition. He finished seventh at the 2017 Olympia and was looking to return to the biggest show once again last year. He suffered a bicep tear that halted progress once again.

Nathan De Asha To Miss 2024 Olympia

It was a busy year thus far for Nathan De Asha. It began with a victory at the 2024 Mr. Big Evolution Pro, which qualified him for the Olympia. He continued to take the stage and earned runner-up finishes during the Flex Weekend Pro and Dubai Pro.

Kienzl spoke with Rep One about how he prepares bodybuilders for the biggest shows of the year.

“I want everyone to be in their absolute best at the Olympia and you just have to see that that’s possible. There is no summer slump story and it also brings with it the suffering of having had a really long season and that is, of course, physically resource-consuming and energy-consuming.”

Kienzl continued to explain how the top competitors at the Olympia must be made from the same material and display narrow and dense physiques. He will work with De Asha to create an improved package and hit the ground running moving forward.

“Producing Mr. Olympia is definitely something very difficult but of course, it’s still the absolute goal.”
