Nathan De Asha is preparing for the Arnold Classic and hit a back day with Ronnie Coleman.
Nathan De Asha is preparing to make his return to competition during the 2025 Arnold Classic. The show will take place in March but prep has started for De Asha, who was joined by Ronnie Coleman for a recent, old-school back workout.
The 2025 Arnold Classic will be the first time that De Asha takes the stage in Columbus for the event. This will also be his first appearance in the U.S. since the 2018 Mr. Olympia, where he placed eighth. In October, it was confirmed that De Asha was granted a 20-day visa to compete in the event.
In 2024, he took first place at the Mr. Big Evolution Pro, overcoming two-time Arnold Classic champion William Bonac to secure victory. This achievement cemented his status as one of the top contenders in the Men’s Open division. And further built hype for fans who eagerly awaited him to face off against the top competitors.
Ronnie Coleman & Nathan De Asha Back Workout
The workout consisted of four exercises that the bodybuilders hit to target all areas of the back:
Lat Pulldown
The workout began with lat pulldowns. Both De Asha and Coleman opted to go behind the neck when performing reps. De Asha spoke about competing against Samson Dauda at the Arnold while Coleman claims he can make over $1 million during the two biggest shows.
“Samson is going to do Ohio. I’m not going to win but he’s going for the money. He’s going to go for the Arnold, I think he’s going to go to Dubai and then he’ll do the Olympia and then Arnold again.”
Seated Cable Row
The next exercise was seated cable rows. De Asha reflected on previous competition appearances as he prepares for the Arnold. De Asha will compete against some of the top competitors once again in Columbus, including Dauda.
“He’ll probably tire out. He’s going for the money.”
“He’s making $1.1 million those two shows,” Coleman responded.

Hammer/Concentration Curls
The final exercises of the session were hammer and concentration curls. During this portion of the workout, the duo discussed the potential for additional prizes for winning the Olympia. They recently gave out rings during the 2024 competition to some past winners but there could be other options.
“Not a ring. A watch or something and get it engraved. It means more than money because it’s something you’ll cherish.
If you had an AP watch with Ronnie Coleman and you are the Arnold Classic champion, it’s worth more because of who the person is and the value.”
