Nick Walker Shares Full Day of Eating Four Weeks Out From Olympia

Nick Walker is officially inside four weeks from the 2026 Mr. Olympia, and “The Mutant” is tightening up his diet as he prepares for another shot at bodybuilding’s biggest title.

Walker recently shared a complete day of eating during the final stages of his Olympia prep. His calories and carbohydrates have come down considerably, but perhaps more interesting is what Walker says isn’t happening.

Rather than having to aggressively push his body into condition, Walker believes the progress he made earlier this season has put him in position to potentially cruise into the Olympia.

“Food is a lot lower now,” Walker explained. “But like I said, because of the eight-week turnaround, we may not necessarily even have to push hard again.”

That could prove particularly important for Walker after a 2025 Olympia showing where his peak became one of the biggest talking points surrounding his sixth-place finish.

Walker broke down his current off-day diet as he moves through the final weeks of his 2026 Olympia preparation. His first meal combines cream of rice with protein powder, peanut butter and blueberries.

His current meals include:

  • Meal 1: Vanilla Bean Morphagen Nutrition protein powder, creamy unsalted peanut butter, frozen blueberries, salt and cream of rice
  • Meal 2: 6 oz. chicken breast, 16 grams nut butter, 90 grams cream of rice, salt and cinnamon
  • Meal 3: 250 grams rice, 6 oz. chicken breast and 60 grams green beans
  • Meal 4: 90 grams cream of rice, 6 oz. chicken breast, cinnamon and salt
  • Meal 5: Chicken, green beans, salt, cinnamon, rice
  • Meal 6: Chicken and vegetables

Walker has completely removed carbohydrates from his final meal, replacing his typical combination of protein and carbs.

Walker also explained that he removes products containing artificial sweeteners once he enters contest prep, even though he occasionally uses flavored options during the offseason.

It is an increasingly stripped-down bodybuilding diet as Walker attempts to bring the combination of size and conditioning necessary to challenge for the Sandow Trophy.

Walker Says Short Olympia Prep Has Changed His Approach

Normally, an Olympia preparation requires months of gradually increasing cardio and decreasing food as a bodybuilder attempts to reach peak condition.

Walker’s road to the 2026 Olympia has been different.

He competed at the Tampa Pro earlier this summer, meaning he was already in contest condition before beginning the final eight-week turnaround to Las Vegas.

Instead of rebuilding from an offseason physique, Walker and his team have been able to manage the condition he already established.

That could allow him to avoid digging too deep into his reserves during the final weeks.

“Because it was only an eight-week prep, we started off hard,” Walker explained. “Then we were able to kind of ease off.”

Walker believes his body is responding well enough that another aggressive push might not even be necessary.

That is significant considering what happened during his previous Olympia appearance.

Nick Walker Looks to Avoid Another Mistimed Olympia Peak

Walker returned to the Olympia stage in 2025 after missing the 2023 and 2024 contests.

He ultimately finished sixth, a disappointing result for an athlete who had entered the competition expecting to contend for the title.

Walker has since been open about believing his physique was better before the competition than it was when he actually stepped onstage.

This year, the objective is not simply to get shredded. It is to arrive in peak condition at exactly the right time.

Walker has already proven in 2026 that he remains one of the most dangerous competitors in Men’s Open bodybuilding. Now, his focus shifts toward maintaining his size and fullness while continuing to tighten his conditioning over the final four weeks.

The 2026 Mr. Olympia is scheduled for Sept. 24-27 in Las Vegas.

With Hadi Choopan out of this year’s contest due to visa issues, the battle near the top of the Men’s Open lineup has become even more intriguing. Walker will face defending champion Derek Lunsford, Samson Dauda, Andrew Jacked, Martin Fitzwater and a stacked field of contenders.

For now, Walker appears happy with exactly where his body is.

Rather than starving himself and dramatically increasing his workload as the Olympia approaches, “The Mutant” believes the work he has already done may allow him to arrive at his best without forcing the process.
