Episode 3: “Mr. Olympia 2020”

In preparation for this competition, Clarida was in a bit of a vulnerable spot. By starting to restrict calories, he put himself at risk of injury so being smart was key for his success. What Clarida does well is he puts more focus into taking care of his body by doing more therapy like Graston, cupping, and deep tissue massage. With this, his body started to respond and he could lift heavier while also promoting longevity. Taking better care of his body allowed him to see bigger gains than ever before.

Training only goes so far and outside work can take your physique to the next level. Early on, he worked harder than he needed to and burned himself out. But once he got his pro card, he looked to the experts and got a coach to help with planning workouts and optimizing nutrition which took stress off of him. Having coaches in his corner allowed him to focus on training and competition in order to get his mind right. The goal was to get bigger and that he did. By taking the offseason seriously, he is now more full and rounded with even better conditioning. His goal to hit 180 lbs. was reached and keeping everything healthy was key for his success. And it certainly paid off.
