Shaun Clarida Shares 206-Pound “Starting Point” Physique Update Gearing Up For Olympia

212 Olympia champ Shaun Clarida is preparing to make a run at his third title.

Reigning 212 Olympia champion Shaun Clarida is preparing to make a run at his third title on the biggest stage in bodybuilding this November. On Monday, Clarida shared a physique update at 206 pounds announcing that he is beginning his competition prep 20 weeks out.

Mutant athlete, Clarida has been successful at any level in bodybuilding. In 2020, Clarida won his first 212 Olympia title. The very next year, he went head-to-head with Derek Lunsford and finished as the runner-up. This was considered an upset at the time and Clarida continued to make improvements. He then won the 2021 Legion Sports Fest Pro in Men’s Open.

Lunsford made the jump to Men’s Open for the 2022 Olympia and Clarida held the same option since he was qualified for both. Ultimately, he announced that he would return to 212 in hopes of reclaiming his title. He was victorious in 212 and will work for his third title this year.

Clarida has been busy this year. He competed in Open bodybuilding during the 2023 Arnold Classic and finished in the top five. Now, he is gearing up for the Olympia.

Shaun Clarida Shares Massive Physique Update

Shaun Clarida shared the picture on Monday but he said that it was taken last week. This was the 20-week mark to the Olympia and the beginning of his prep.

“This is my starting point 20 weeks out (taken last week) from the 2023 ⭕️lympia sitting at 206lbs.

Despite being one of the busiest years of my life/career between doing both the Olympia and the Arnold last season, the birth of my daughter and moving my family from New Jersey ➡️ Texas, it’s been one of the most productive. The new environment, having the fuel & motivation with Baby GK and always having a supporting cast of friends, family and sponsors have all kept me grounded and focused on the task and goal come November 3rd. 🥇🥇🥇

OFF TO THE RACES WE GO!”

Shaun Clarida has had a busy offseason involving his family. He shared that he added a new member of his family while moving from New Jersey to Texas.

Right now, Clarida is the name to beat in the 212 category. He will go for another title in the division this year while keeping his eye on Men’s Open. If Clarida ever makes the jump officially, he will continue to be a force but his reputation is set in 212.
