2023 Mr. Olympia Prejudging Report & Analysis

Final Callout

Here is a full breakdown from the Mr. Olympia Bodybuilding prejudging from Friday night.

The Men’s Open Bodybuilding division is the biggest in the sport and there was some extra hype around it this year at the 2023 Mr. Olympia. The 2023 version has a chance to be one of the best of all-time and it kicked off on Friday evening, November 3rd, in Orlando, FL. After winners were announced in six divisions, Men’s Open took the stage for prejudging.

Reigning champion Hadi Choopan led the way in the first callout, along with Samson Dauda and Derek Lunsford. A group of six also included Brandon Curry, Hunter Labrada, and Andrew Jacked.

Judges made sure to move competitors around, leaving Choopan in the middle but giving competitors a chance to stand next to him for comparisons. Midway through, Dauda was moved to Choopan’s left while Lunsford remained on his right.

This would be the trio in the fifth and final callout. Judges gave each competitor a chance to stand in the middle as they were put through an intense round of posing. Entering the weekend, there were many that thought this could be the top three.
