Derek Lunsford & Big Ramy will highlight the 2023 Pittsburgh Pro guest posing battles.
The 2023 Pittsburgh Pro will look to continue a tradition of great guest posing appearances during the event. This has become a chance midyear for some of the best competitors in the world to show off their progress right before the summer. This year, the likes of Big Ramy, Derek Lunsford, and Nick Walker are prepared to take the stage and put on a show.
Big Ramy did not attend this event last year and it is when he began to take a step back. Walker and Lunsford made an impact and carried momentum into the 2022 Olympia, where they finished top three. Both competitors finished behind Hadi Choopan, who was crowned Mr. Olympia.
This year, Ramy is expected to appear and will battle Lunsford and Walker on stage. the guest posing at the Pittsburgh Pro has been a coming attraction for fans in recent years and some of the best bodybuilding minds in the world are discussing what to expect. Both Jay Cutler and Chris Aceto weighed in on potential matchups.
Jay Cutler: “Derek’s Going To Wow People Again”
During the 2022 Pittsburgh Pro, Lunsford opened eyes and this sparked his jump to Men’s Open. Of course, it proved to be the right move as he finished as the runner-up in the Olympia.
Jay Cutler believes that he will show up in great shape once again during his guest posing over the weekend and discussed it during an episode of Cutler Cast.
“I think Derek’s going to wow people again. I think Nick’s on a mission. I saw he’s starting prep. Will Ramy show up and what will he look like? I think that’s the big question. I think Ramy will be big as hell and Samson will be big. We’ve seen some pictures of him. He’s going to scare some people.”

Cutler has talked about Ramy being put under pressure after his back-to-back performances at the Olympia and 2023 Arnold Classic. Because of this, he expects the former two-time Olympia champ to come in massive. Cutler will not be in Pittsburgh but expects the “house to come down.”
“I think Ramy will be huge, Samson will be huge, Nick will be huge, Derek will be crazy and better condition than last year because he’s going to have more muscle.”
Chris Aceto Highlights Battle Between Derek Lunsford And Big Ramy
Chris Aceto also went on record discussing the potential of guest posers during the Pittsburgh Pro. During an interview with RxMuscle, he focused on the battle between Ramy and Lunsford. In the end, he expects Ramy to show up better than ever.
“Mark my words, slam dunk. He’ll be in good shape and he’ll be way bigger than he’s ever been. We can play this show back but go ahead. 100% to use the 100% three times in one show.”

Ramy might come in bigger than ever but Aceto also expects Lunsford to be improved because he wants to make an impression. After a second-place finish in 2022, Lunsford is coming for the title this year.
“Lunsford will look better than last year, he’s also gearing up to leave an impression. Unfortunately, if you’re not gearing up to make an impression for this show, you’re making a mistake. Derek is gearing up to leave an impression that he’s going to win the Mr. Olympia. He’s going to be bigger than last year, rounder, his upper body will be better.”
The 2023 Pittsburgh Pro is scheduled to take place Friday and Saturday. Results will be split across both days while the guest posing will be on Saturday night.
