However, my estrogen levels were also around 50 pg/mL, which is very high for a man. This also prompted my doctor to prescribe me anastrozole alongside my TRT.
I will say that have used testosterone without an aromatase inhibitor, and experienced unfortunate side effects. These side effects I experienced on testosterone without an aromatase inhibitor included water retention, acne, mood changes, and increased body fat, so when I was on anabolics, I just looked like a chubby kid going through puberty. However, now that I am fortunate enough to be prescribed anastrozole alongside my testosterone, I no longer experience any of those things.
Even though I may benefit from these substances due to my past decisions, it certainly is not for everyone.
