Phil Heath weighed in on the topic of a comeback once again and claims he can compete anywhere.

Bodybuilding legend Phil Heath and a potential comeback have been linked for years now but the former Olympia champ has not budged. He has stayed active in the gym and looks competition ready but there is no plan for a return as of yet. The topic has not escaped Heath and he recently discussed it again during an Instagram Live.

Heath totaled seven Olympia titles over the course of his career. In 2020, he stepped on stage for the final time but has been active in the gym ever since. During the 2020 show, Heath finished third and fans have been waiting for his return ever since. His seven titles is second all-time to Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney, who are tied at the top for eight. Many wonder if Heath would return in hopes of matching this all-time record.

Despite keeping his physique in championship shape, Heath ruled out a return in 2023 back in May. This does not mean that it is off the table for 2024. Heath has provided many updates showing off his progress to this point.

When a return is discussed, it was assumed that Heath would take the Olympia stage once again. During his live speaking to fans, Heath spoke on a realization that a return to the Olympia is not the only way.

Phil Heath: “I Wouldn’t Have To Do The Olympia”

Of course, Phil Heath making his way back to the biggest competition in bodybuilding would be huge news. At the end of the day, this is not his only option and Heath finally had that internal discussion.

“A lot of people ask me if I would ever get back on the stage, you know it’s funny, I was thinking about it yesterday and I wouldn’t have to do the Olympia to get back on stage. I can do any show. It’s funny. It was like the first time I had that conversation with myself like ‘man, I can compete anywhere. I don’t just have to do the Olympia.’ I could have competed last week, just to do something else.”

Phil Heath continued to discuss different happenings in bodybuilding, including Big Ramy and the potential emergence of Carlos Thomas Jr. When discussing his own routine, he admitted to not taking many supplements at the moment when asked. He continued to talk about potentially ramping it up.

“That’s on the table so I hope I can make that happen.”

If Phil Heath takes his supplement use to the next level, this could potentially mean that he has a comeback in mind. He has kept his physique in championship shape and the topic is clearly in his mind. To this point, there is no plan to compete in 2023 but a return in 2024 remains on the table.
