Phil Heath might not be competing but he is making sure his physique is in top shape.

Phil Heath knows a thing or two about competing on the Mr. Olympia stage. He might not be fighting for a title come November but Heath will be on the call during the event. While he sits back and watches the show this year, a comeback could be at the forefront of his mind. By the looks of his latest physique update, Heath has kept his physique in top shape.

Heath totaled seven Olympia titles over the course of his career. In 2020, he stepped on stage for the final time but has been active in the gym ever since. During the 2020 show, Heath finished third and fans have been waiting for his return ever since.

Despite keeping his physique in championship shape, Heath ruled out a return in 2023 back in May. This does not mean that it is off the table for 2024. Heath has provided many updates showing off his progress to this point.

When a return is discussed, it was assumed that Heath would take the Olympia stage once again. During a live speaking to fans back in July, Heath spoke on a realization that a return to the Olympia is not the only way.

“I WOULDN’T HAVE TO DO THE OLYMPIA TO GET BACK ON STAGE. I CAN DO ANY SHOW. IT’S FUNNY. IT WAS LIKE THE FIRST TIME I HAD THAT CONVERSATION WITH MYSELF LIKE ‘MAN, I CAN COMPETE ANYWHERE. I DON’T JUST HAVE TO DO THE OLYMPIA.’ I COULD HAVE COMPETED LAST WEEK, JUST TO DO SOMETHING ELSE.”

Fans have been waiting for Heath to make his return to the stage. It will be interesting if he decides to do the Olympia and fight for his eighth title, which would tie him for the most all-time with Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney.

If it is not the Olympia, there would still be plenty of attention surrounding Heath. There is no plan as of now but it is clear that Heath has kept his physique in championship shape.
